HTC Hero is a real smartphone, but de Tattoo is cheaper. Also you can change the cover from the tattoo

I have talked to HTC: it is DEFINATELY a capacitive screen! But there will be probably no multitouch. This is not sure, though...

It's resistive because it's a low end smartphone. Capacitive would have bumped the price up.

you beat me to the reply...resitive touchscreens arent good enough for high end smartphones...and the reason they have resistive is even worse...the screen is less than 3 inches

Especially for my TyTn2 that has the same exact screen and its a 2 year old phone....looks like sense UI will look proper than the HVGA hero ROM on my QVGA screen,
