Would you please tell me the dimensions on the bars you put on the bike over the stock one, and where to buy them. How tall are they over the stock bars, and how much pullback over the stock bars. I would be grateful. I think doing it just with the bars there is no need to use risers ...Thanks in advance, yl
@seekinsoul Thank you for the reply specs. I know at times, It was hard to understand my post. When I first started out the post. I was interrupted for a time. Then I cut some out, and tried to fix it, But before I was able to fix things, I hit the post button...lol ... Just not having a good day. Had some dental work done. BTW Dude your sure fast with the hands..... Thank's again, yl
Nice video. But piece of cake if they have the same high. It would be much more work for higher bars cause then you will need to change the cords. I wanna switch from stock to ape hangers and it's a pain in the ass.
Great video, I've been trying to find an answer to how difficult it would be to change your handlebars, and you've answered all the questions in this video. Thanks for posting it.
I have a GS-L with the L handlebars and want to trade them out for the Daytonas as well. The one concern I have is cable length and re-routing. Do you think I can get away with using the same stock cables if I change the bars to Daytonas? great video by the way...thank you!
I was able to reroute the cables without any problems. I just had to make sure I could turn the bars from left to right, stop to stop, without binding the cables. Make sure the throttle doesn't rev the engine when turning the bars, too. When I did it the first time I had to remove the tank to reroute through the frame, though.
How much for the old bar? I just got a '75 CB750 K5 and would like a bar similar to what you took off. Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately) I DO have "those long gorilla type arms"!haha If you're not willing to sell, let me know where you got the bar from?
Many of the guys on the GS forum use clubman bars on their cafe conversions. I think they are a good choice, and have a great look for that style of bike.
Well done! A co-worker of mine want's me to put ape hangers on my scoot. Yea, won't that look cool. LOL Looks like those bars will work out for ya. I'm sure it will rest your back for certain.
That was exactly the reason I changed them. The European bars I had on it weren't nearly as comfortable as I would have liked. I was leaning too far forward, which was causing too much discomfort. These are much closer to what I want.
THX!!!!!

I got mine from Z1 Enterprises, but I'm sure someone could get them from other places like Dennis Kirk. I think I paid something like $20.

Ape hangers, eh? Maybe you should :D
So far the new bars are pretty good.

Was the main reason for the change so you could ride upright?
I had to install risers on my Trumpy for that reason. I don't have those long gorilla type arms.

Thanks man! It took about 30 minutes for the change, plus a few minutes to tweak the control positions.
