@SinistrChevy ive ben down before n i dont wear protection. it all depends on what im doin that day. if im riding to work or just riding around the city, i dont wear protection. but when i ride on mountain roads or if i know ima be riding hard, then i wear it. but most of the time i dont. just a helmet.

You see most of these YouTube roll-on street races take place over distances from 1/2 mile to mile at speeds up to 200 mph. Rarely are they from a standing start because the street cars can't hook up on street tyres so they race from a roll-on. Consequently they race for distances up to and sometimes over a mile. The times recorded at the mile strips are very accurate and done under controlled conditions. Not some bullshit toot of the horn race. I'd rather believe 1,000th sec timing by ECTA.

awsome video, awsome to see what cars and motorcycles have to offer when both are nearly the best in the bizz at what they do, although tbh i own a suzuki gsxr 1000 and a hando cbr 1000 and driven busas, without nitrous that viper would beat the busa by more then a cars length, yet both r extremely fast a well suited busa like this will stick with a viper but not many bikes can 800+ hp twin turbo cars like supras and vipers and others can take bikes, but put a 1198 turbo ducati here :) dif story

@juliusURVAN If you understood the technical difficulties of achieving those records you would know that it's not only about driving or riding fast down the track. It does take skill to extract performance and put the power to the track although this is not as important as the building and tuning of the machines. There are no "idiots" at the Texas and Maxton Mile. They are taking there performance vehicles off the street into a safe environment to measure their vehicle's performance accurately.
@juliusURVAN Mile time trials are about acceleration!!!! It's about how quickly your vehicle can reach the end of the standing mile but rather than focussing on the E.T. the focus is on the mph. 1/4 mile drags are about acceleration as well but the focus is on E.T. with the trap speed being secondary. My point is that all Vipers will not beat all bikes in accelaration and I have proved that with reference to accurately timed events. So which Viper has run against a nitrous Busa from the "dig".

For the simple reason that even if you wear full leathers your likely-hood of surviving a mild accident with little injuries are far less than in a proper vehicle. You should reconsider your personal evaluation. 80k is worth avoiding disability unless you're poor.

I'm not going to argue semantics and you don't need to justify why you would rather have a bike. I understand the thrill of it, there's no justification needed. Riding a bike is a completely different sensation. I personally enjoy the thought of what's on that cyclists mind when I'm pulling away in a full size vehicle and I like the sensation of being thrust into a seat so hard you can barely breath.

Orlando's Viper is pretty sweet, it's actually a single turbo build using a T6-91 on the passanger side of the car where the blower box is.
A better run for that bike would be something like an Underground Viper with a TT set up and some T78s. Good race, Viper almost lost that back end on the first run...

You see most of these YouTube roll-on street races take place over distances from 1/2 mile to mile at speeds up to 200 mph. Rarely are they from a standing start because the street cars can't hook up on street tyres so they race from a roll-on. Consequently they race for distances up to and sometimes over a mile. The times recorded at the mile strips are very accurate and done under controlled conditions. Not some bullshit toot of the horn race. I'd rather believe 1,000th sec timing by ECTA.

awsome video, awsome to see what cars and motorcycles have to offer when both are nearly the best in the bizz at what they do, although tbh i own a suzuki gsxr 1000 and a hando cbr 1000 and driven busas, without nitrous that viper would beat the busa by more then a cars length, yet both r extremely fast a well suited busa like this will stick with a viper but not many bikes can 800+ hp twin turbo cars like supras and vipers and others can take bikes, but put a 1198 turbo ducati here :) dif story

It does take skill to extract performance and put the power to the track although this is not as important as the building and tuning of the machines. There are no "idiots" at the Texas and Maxton Mile. They are taking there performance vehicles off the street into a safe environment to measure their vehicle's performance accurately.

It's about how quickly your vehicle can reach the end of the standing mile but rather than focussing on the E.T. the focus is on the mph. 1/4 mile drags are about acceleration as well but the focus is on E.T. with the trap speed being secondary. My point is that all Vipers will not beat all bikes in accelaration and I have proved that with reference to accurately timed events. So which Viper has run against a nitrous Busa from the "dig".

In a car it is 1/2941 or 0.034%. The risk of death on a bike is 20 times more. However, with a 99.3% chance of survival (on average), I think the the pleasure I get from motorcycling far outweighs the risk. You state a fact but the actual magnitude of risk is still relatively small.

Riding a bike is a completely different sensation. I personally enjoy the thought of what's on that cyclists mind when I'm pulling away in a full size vehicle and I like the sensation of being thrust into a seat so hard you can barely breath.

Orlando's Viper is pretty sweet, it's actually a single turbo build using a T6-91 on the passanger side of the car where the blower box is.
A better run for that bike would be something like an Underground Viper with a TT set up and some T78s. Good race, Viper almost lost that back end on the first run...

and the highest trap speed on 1/4 mile with my slowest bike a tuned gsx-r1000 was 156.21mph.. that run it did 10.21sec so not bad.. but the busa is a beast running 7.56sec it`s so fast that it makes your brain twist.. you just hit the gears when you think you should..bet you get that in a van or chopper HAHAHAHAHA never.. and buy the way the world record for a hayabusa is 9.39sec sSTOCK @154.34mph.. you know real drivers can do magic.. but you wouldn`t know..

im normally not on here everyday but its so fun making you mad :). and my "van" if you read the comment was on economy mode and in 4 wheel drive. in those "vans" you lose a lot of top end in 4 wheel but since that track in orlando is so shitty i couldnt get traction in 2 wheel. i sold it though. and 10.1 isnt something to brag about on a sport bike. a stock busa will run low 10's. and yes the busa does have traction problems due to the poor suspension design even though i weigh 265

and i think you completely missed my point about the gp bikes. I have traction problems on my 180 hp busa on the street if i crank it open. It is obviously "possible" to ride a 600 hp bike on the street but you cant USE the 600 hp so yeah its cool to tell people "hey this thing puts out 600 hp" but in all reality you cannot go out on the road, crank it open and run it to its full potential thus rendering the 600 hp useless.

before you call someone a "dofus" you should learn how to spell buddy. My page has my diesel TRUCK that i used to have that would smoke vettes and Porsches like they were nothing. Also i was not aware that in order to be a biker you had to have a video of yourself riding on youtube. I OWN a chopper company asshole and i dont care where you live its not that cheap to get 600hp. and if YOU knew anything about riding you would know that even the 200 hp gp bikes have traction problems on a TRACK

and i have a friend that builds 6 second bikes for riders all around the country based on jap motors so i know all that goes into getting so much power out of them and its not cheap
