  • Great tutorial :) I was wondering though, If I had a circular knitter could I do this or does it have to be a more straight paneled one like the one you're using?

  • @polkadotskull Hello.....yes you can make a flat project on a round loom....just wrap around but before you wrap over where you started go back the other way.....i have posted a link on your youtube page for mikeys tutorial on how to do this....hope that helps....cathy@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • ok I have a couple of questions. maybe I missed it. The way you are knitting is the width? Also, when you bind off do you start at the end, cause it looked like you were in the middle.

  • @angelsince71 hello.. mikey is wrapping the loom down one side, around and down the other side when casted off and unfolded the wrap will stretch out to 6ft to make the length to go from arm to arm.... with using 2 balls of Bella yarn the wrap is about 24 inches from shoulder going down the back....I hope that explains your question...lol...:)

    Cathy@mikeys helpdesk ;)

  • @angelsince71 as far as casting off....mikey grabs the stitch off the very end peg but because he skipped stitches on this project it looks like he is in further towards the middle but the next stitch is just further in because of the skipped stitches.....cathy

  • I love your videos... thank you!!

  • watch the video yourself and interested in the technique of knitting .. but here in Greece there voro find bins .. they care about the north to help me p voro to find them; or if there are plans to knit them; Thanks much .. but the name is grigoris

  • if i were to use more than 2 skeins of yarn, would this shawl be made wider? I've never loom knitted before, but this seems like a decent place to start...i just would like it wider :)

  • @KaylaKay810 It would end up being longer... not wider.. the width acheived is the maximum from that size loom...

  • @KaylaKay810 using more than 2 skiens of yarn would make the project bigger but not sure if it would make it big enough (wide enough for your liking.....you may want to add length to the project by using a few more pegs (you may have to use a bigger loom) to ensure you have a wider wrap in the end.....cathy@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • loooommmming thanks mike. you haven't don't a looming show in a long time. thanks

  • I was actually going to do a shawl similar to this ..thnx!

  • oh wow, looks beautiful! and thnx for the tip how to get the yarn through the pen! :) I did it with a small chrochet needle but most of the time it was enoying me..
