Probably because it absolutely kills performance in most cases and isn't a necessity when played at higher resolutions (not that 1280x720 is such.)

yeah and you can't play at higher than 1080p, where as 1600p is easily attained with a LCD Monitor, and you don't need to spend a crap load of money, if you wanted a 1600p TV... nevermind they don't exist, lol they would be in the thousands.

why don't people just put the money they would have spent in a console into a PC, and have a sweet gaming rig/multipurpose PC?

yeah, like during gameplay if you need to turn off AA so the game runs smoother, then yeah go for it, but it's when they do benchmarks for video cards, that it pisses me off!, they turn it off for the same reason, to improve performance, but I wanna find out what the card can really do!, and if it runs shit as slow at 12 fps, and another card runs at 20 fps, then I know which one is better, they really need to stress the video card, to see what it will do, under the most extreme conditions.

I agree with you, I think ppl are taking crazy pills when they say Console is better, everything about a PC is better than Console, the ONLY pro it has it the portability, but I don't care about that anyways, but you can get a laptop, but they are shitty for gaming.

Console is limited to 1080p, and most of the time games on Console are developed to play at a max of like 720p.

and with PC you can get DirectX10 video cards, and soon 11.

Its just for PCs. Apparently its already out in Russia as its a Russian Developer. I Believe it came out in Nov or Dec in Russia. They are now bringing it to the USA and other places, not sure of the release date. There is a tech demo you can download though, thats what I did and I recorded the tech demo with FRAPS. You can look for the demo at sites like fileshack. com or fileplanet. com and etc.

1st of all, gaming companys will produce games with this amount of quality to be played on consoles....its just a matter of years.

2nd i guarantee if you looked at a "true console game" im pretty sure their only a few fps away from this game...look at bioshock...that had one of the best graphics at its arrival....now most ps3 and 360 games or arguably competing if not beating that quality. Come back to me in 4-5 years and tell me "NEVER ever" again...

Consoles will never be better than PC, first off, the parts that go into a console are COMPUTER PARTS!, unless you think they are made of Carmel or someshit.

secondly, when you need to upgrade your computer you usually only have to upgrade the video card, and you can get a wicked one for $300 (GTX 260) with Console, you gotta replace the whole thing, and brand new they can range from $600 - $1,500

You could build a wicked system for $1,000 no joke

lol, well I personally like COD, Bioshock isn't my type of game... Crysis runs shitty on my PC for whatever reason, and it shouldn't it runs slow, even when I lower all the graphics to the lowest setting, while other games I can CRANK, and get 60+fps... Otherwise, I would play Crysis.

That's the main problem with a PC, every time they change the graphics a bit you have to spend hundreds of dollars to make the game work. For the PS3, for example, all the games that will ever come out for it will surly work just fine without you having to spend a dime. The graphics will be, indeed, better, but it will cost you significantly more to obtain that.

@alxcsb - lol, you don't HAVE to spend hundred of dollars to MAKE THE GAME WORK.

the game works anyways, even if it has better graphics that what your card can render, and often times the difference it negligible,

for example, look for Dirt 2 DX10 videos, and then Dirt 2 DX11 videos, an older video card CANNOT have the extra DX11 effects, if it's a DX10 card.

but really because the difference isn't that huge, it's not a big disappointment and/or reason to spend hundreds more.

@alxcsb - but just to make sure you know, even if the game was made to take advantage of the latest video card technology, you will STILL be able to play the game, even if you have an older video card.

Let's assume your a pirate and you can get games for free, PC is a MUCH better investment (for these ppl)

even if the Console was a Penny, you'd still pay THOUSANDS more in games alone.

Pay $1500, and get all games for free

or $300 and $5000 for 100 games..
