Great News Folks. Eye Eye is now available on i tunes store. I have been looking for this forever and finally found it. Pass it on to Eye Eye fans. Rock on 80's
I hear this song all the time on a lite rock station all the time, but it's an extended version. I would love to get my hands on it. I have this one on MP3 and is always on my ipod. Bill...you gotta get your band's first LP on CD!!
"Catch me this time..for it could be the last time...here I am out on a limb...looking for this CD!! Anyone seen it anywhere?? Does it exist in CD format??
Sorry everyone, the first record never made it to CD, tape and vinyl only, the second one was out on CD. Bill had some vinyl copies of "Just in Time.." left in the basement but they are all now in the hands of diehard 80's fans, as are the remaining copies of the CD's I believe. I have the entire second album and 4 tracks from the first in mp3 format. If you want to have just the songs, drop me a note. If Bill says it's cool, I'll give you a link to download them from a storage server online.
The second album "Common Ground" came out on CD, and it had bonus tracks - 4 songs from "Just in Time to be Late" including "Out on a Limb" and "X-Ray Eyes".
@vertigotango Are you sure? Cuz I got the record from gemm.com (Only place I could get it - can't even get CD or tape) and I don't see those tracks. Anyways, love this song, and canadian 80's music (W gary o being my fave - again, get his tape or record from gemm.com if have tape or recoed player), was true golden era of rock! cats can fly, BLVD, Arrows, partland Brothers, and Jim foster good and hard to get, too
Nevermind that the sound is out dated! This is a great song & no wonder... Canadian. I'm American & I will always say the best talent is with the Brits and Canadians, hands down. BTW for an eighties music video with the hairspray saga, this is a really COOL video. It could've been real cheesy! Great song & video.
It took me 10 yrs to find the Common Ground CD, finally finding it at a used record store in Toronto (I'm in the U.S.) Had it about a year before my car got broken into and all my CD's were stolen. I've been looking for it ever since. Good luck to those of you looking for it! It's a challenge but well worth it. This CD brings me many happy memories of the fall of '88. It's an example of how music can bring so much happiness to the world, and no matter how old it is, memories are timeless.
I bought the CD Common Ground back in the day, they drummer died and that was the last I heard from them. Shame, the sound is now dated but man what a great cd. Bet they had more in em.
Hey! Bill Wood, the singer for Eye Eye is my dad, and I just wanted to give you guys an update. His new solo album is going to be released really soon. His myspace is billwoodmusic, and new music should be posted soon. Keep supporting Canadian music!
hey! it's so awesome. The musical ambition does run in the family I agree. I'm studying music and Neil here is a rock star in the making. Be sure to look out for us. Haha
OK, you are now officially freakin' awesome Kurdtss! I couldn't believe this came up when I searched it. I wish I could find more from these guys. The drummer died in some horrible accident after the 2nd album from what I remember. Can't find anything on the net from them, I'd love to get the albums on CD since I only had tape at the time, hard to find a lot of this great old Canadian stuff on CD now, it's all out of production.
X-Ray Eyes, Faithfully Yours, Endless Night, My Sensation - Their first three hits were from "Just In Time To Be Late", which wasn't released on CD. But these were added as bonus cuts on the CD version of "Common Ground", which contains the remaining hits.
cool thanks for posting. Im havebn flashbacks to teh mix tapes of teh 80's. Im hopen u have frozen ghost coz now its in my head 2..lol Excellent stuff kurd

Great band! I love their signature sound. Reminds me of a mix of Modern English (I'll Stop The World And Melt With You) and Gin Blossoms.
