I agree you should "visualize" the shot. But, then you look at the ball? Try focusing on the target throughout the stroke. See how on my video. I fill the hole with 8 double break putts from 20 feet. When you visualize throughout the stroke, the body automatically follows what your eyes are seeing.

Putting is the most important and difficult part in the game of golf. When you really want to make the putt, many factors come into play. The grass, the line, the grain, the slope, the distance, your opponent score...I think if you focus on making your putting easier, you are not approaching the putt with the right frame of mind. I believe it is important to focus on making the putt...rather than trying to make it easier. It is not supposed to be easy or difficult.

Good eye! I actually have a shorter putter now and my head is more over the ball, although in putting, not a bad thing to have it slightly outside your eye line.
