Great video. I was touched by your tribute to Belle. We recently lost our angel, Sparky, too, so I can really understand how you feel. Thanks for sharing. -Mikey2
Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss as well. It's hard to lose a pet/family member under such tradgic circumstances. Thanks so much for the nice comment and for watching the vids.
Yeah, if you go to the shows on a regular basis you'll see them in gold more often. This was the first time I've seen them wearing it in several years.
The Blue Angels performed the JATO assisted take off at the 2007 McConnell AFB Show. They only perform the JATO assisted take off at a select few air shows during their season. This could be a possible reason why you didn't see it ;) enjoy
I made a tribute video for LT Kevin Davis as well. please look at my memorial montage for him in my video section and leave a comment if you choose. thank you
I went to the one in 2007 and it was cool. but some of the stuff is the same. Great vid. it seems like you had a great angle. I feel bad for belle. she lived a long time thou.
They come to the Gary / Chicago Airport every year and are a part of a 10 million dollar air show that can be seen and heard for 30 miles in all directions!!!
I bet they are! Wow, I'd love to see that show in person. Maybe, if I ever get out that way, I will.:) We're looking forward toi the big show on the beach next month here in P'cola. I'll try to get some new video of them if we're able to go.
damn i would have never guessed that airplanes were made of metal. and what a little pussy band naming there song heavy metal. they suck ass i swear to god i think that even guns and roses are better than them.
If I'm right, the first four in formation was an old Sabre at the lead, an F-4E Phantom II at the left wing, an F-15 Eagle at the Right wing, and an A-10 Thunderbolt II.
How cool! I hope we can hang out long enough after the show next year to get a few autographs on the show program. Of course next year there'll be a new Blue Angels team. BTW, thanks for subscribing!:)
I am going to try to go to the beach show this year. I hope to get more video soon.
Well I am in CAP so we mostly talked about that but I only took a picture with them the plane and talked for like two minutes. At the MicGuire airshow I will have a chance to meet the Thunderbirds.
Hi! Sorry it took me so long to reply. The large transport is a C-130. Known as "Fat Albert", they're the Blue Angels support team. I'll have the whole performance posted soon!
I have had an opportunity to salute these guys when I was in the Navy, not the same ones of course, that was 21 years ago. They got out of this long black car with their winter sweaters on,in the middle of summer. This was a practice run and they did some stuff that I am sure they shouldn't have.I think if I stood on a ladder and reached up I could have rubbed the belly of their aircraft. This was great footage and the music was super. Thanks for not using the danger zone theme from top gun.
They are truely spectacular! I love the fighter jets, I had an opportunity to see the USAF Thunderbirds and the Blues fly together back in '97' at the 50th anniversary show at Eglin, AFB. It was great! Unfortunately, I didn't have a video camera and, I lost the roll of film I shot with a still camera.lol Oh well.
Wow, go Navy, what did you do while serving? My dad was Airforce. We have friends and relatives still serving.
Logistics.I sat at desk and wrote computer programs, very boring, but that's what they wanted me to do.Back then programming was a bit more complicated,we didn't have Windows to help us out, everything had to be done the hard way.
They're all awesome aircraft. Yes, there was an A-10, F-86 Sabre jet, and the newer FA-18 Super Hornet you see flying together in the "Heritage Flight" formation. Showing 4 generations of fighters.
Yes, you are correct. I was referring to the one seen at the beginning of the video, during the "Heritage Flight". It was introduced as a Super Hornet.
The Blues fly regular F-18C/Bs during their performances. Sorry, guess I should've been more specific. I'll have more video from the show soon featuring more aircraft.
Hi! The jet in the "Heritage Flight" at the very beginning may be an Eagle, but, the one seen later demonstrating the "push/pull" maneuver is a Super Hornet. I have the full performance, posting it ASAP. Check it out!:)
Thanks for the ID. We were late getting there and missed the first of it, therefore, I missed the intro to this performance and the program was'nt specific either. It was a great show! I'm trying to upload the super hornet's performance now.
