and i used windows update

than when my laptop restarted in fackt he didnt he just turned off again and try to tun on but faild and again again and again

When ever i try to updat to sp2 it says that somthing has invalid data but i havebt figured out what it is. I did a few fresh windows installs bit nithing changed :/. Im currently running vista home premium 32bit sp1. If anyone knows how to fix this plz msg me ill be quite thankfull for you information

go in to the description and click the 32 bit if you have a 32 bit version if 64 you will find it there :)

everytime i try install Vista 32-bit SP2 on my Vista 32-bit SP1, it freezes at the 2088th file that should be installed(tzres.dll.mui)

You may not notice much difference in speed, but all SP2 does is install a lot of updates,, and "patch holes left in SP1".

no. It is just an update.

I installed this in my update and it installed.I went to actvate the product key and it said reinstall vista so I shut down and gave up.Turned it on the next moring and it went back to the final part of the installation and everytime I turn on my laptop it does this.Why?

You don't need to activate vista again unless you haven't activated it before you did the update.....

Vista SP1 came on my Acer and I updated to Vista SP2.

Ok then you shouldn't need to enter a product key since it was already activated/genuine.

When you are going through the first few steps, it should automatically make a system restore of your computer, so if anything goes wrong, then you can just system restore back to right before you install SP2, but before you upgrade, make sure you back up your files in case something goes wrong, which most likely wont happen. Remember, SP2 is nothing different from SP1, just more refined, and has some bug fixes, and also remember that this is a Microsoft Update, so it shouldn't mess up anything.

You should back-up your stuff just in case something happens, but upgrading to sp2 won't delete your stuff.

Thanks, It Just Cleaned unnecessary Windows Files and Pack it with this(SP2).
