I could be wrong i guess, but every coach i've every had and at all the camps i've been to told me not to switch hands. i've only seen nba players switch hands on fake spins.

mainly i think is you have to almost have it down to perfection or else it gets stolen, and I think the camps and stuff don't want people getting in a rythem of doing it wrong
