For those wanting to achieve more height from their payload, you might want to think about using two balloons filled with half the volume of gas each. This will allow them to expand more before they burst while maintaining the same amount of lift capacity. I haven't tried this, so it's just a theory. Whether it works or not depends on the rate of expansion of the balloon versus altitude.
Wow, thanks for sharing and what a wonderful job and experience to watch. Hat's off to all involved. What a great teaching platform for kids, endless connections to what we have accomplished in space and what still is in our future.
Is there a place to subscribe to future flights? I only seen one post to the QRP reflector about the launch. Pretty easy to miss a single post announcement :(
