They were somewhat important, they enter your team, but Tellah dies quite quickly from meteor spell and golbez, Cid is one of the most important characters since he made every single kind of vehicle you use on the whole game, and Fusoya appears very briefly at the ending of the game....

The concept art used from the GBA version looks really creepy. Actually, quite a few concept art from the other GBA FF games look odd. They just don't do the characters justice in my opinion. The 3d rendered models look fantastic though...exactly how I pictured back in the 32-bit days.

She ends up in the Underworld after being attacked by Laviathan on the party's ship. Laviathan "swallows her up" and brings her to the city where all the Eidolins (summons) live. Time flows differently there, so by the time she meets back up with Cecil and everyone else, she's older.

The game is really great, but it gets very difficult shortly after Cecil becomes a Paladin. You see, because they were forced to remove the bonus dungeon and character swapping from the advanced version, they thought it would be a good idea to make the game insanely difficult unless you are hardcore. Although, I would have like to choose the difficulty.
