have a question to youtube do you guys think that the hypnotization worked, did oh dae su cry or laugh at the end because it worked or failed, btw this film rocks! :)
Why didn't they just use a dead squid and put some sodium on it? That way the squid would have moved and it would have lookd exactly the same. LOL. Isn't physics wonderful...
The actor is a vegetarian buddhist. You actually can see him saying a prayer and apologizing to the octopus. Before anyone gets all judgmental on him, just know that he's probably harmed fewer animals in his life than you have.
@Galactic123 Buddhist has nothing to do about being vegetarian, Buda only said not to kill animals for your own profit, but he in fact ate meat for his own neccesity. But eating alive an octopus I would say it's not a vital need. Cephalopods are kind of intelligent animals, they have kind of nociceptors feeling "pain" and kind of a brain processing it. I wonder what would people think if instead of an ugly octopus he ate a cute lamb alive.
I think it's wonderful dedication to the role that, despite Choi Min being buddhist, (not just vegetarian) he still agreed to this. Paid of though, Oldboy is a right film!

@Thisismytrollingface But was okay with forgetting about it and continued with the incest, but then again that was the only way to relive the discomfort of doing such a thing.
