What the right sees in Reagan is - on the economy - using the "Laffer curve" to reset the tax structure to spur investment AND raise revenue by lowering the whole tax curve, but most greatly on the wealthy... and it worked... ONCE.
Since then, trying to repeat it again and again has worked more and more against productive investment and only very, very minimally raised tax revenues.
Why would they idolise the man who can not unfairly be blamed for much of that which ails America? American conservatives are a strange, reason-blind bunch.
Some of my earliest memories in life of a Presidential figure was Reagan he was the man in charge talking about the war on drugs. Awhile later it was another guy named Bush. I'll never forget that day either it was a bright sunny afternoon day watching Bush talk and seeing the live night vision footage of the bombs falling Baghdad for the first time.. all the AA shooting upwards at nothing. Just a child too I still remember it like it was today..
I love the respect all of you have shown on this CSPAN upload as families see this stuff and all the cussing shows how a lot of people out there have "NO" class,I feel sorry for you all who comment in such a way as you probably don't know what you are talking about.I'm PROUD to be AMERICAN born in this GREAT nation "GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"
@DecentralizedByGuilt Actually since getbigproductions is not a statist such as yourself he would not be a free loader...that's what statist do they (you) want something for nothing and believe everyone owes you everything but aren't willing to do anything in return.
@f9gopguy Exactly my point. dumb ass. If you and the other free loading youtube welfare babies actually liked Reagan. Maybe you would practise what you, and Reagan, preach and contribute to the youtube community. but you dont freeloader! So you may like Reagan, but Reagan most certiantly wouldnt like you, a youtube welfare baby ridding on the back's of everyone else, idiot.
This airport used to be named after the Father of our country, George Washington - but somehow the Republicans got it renamed for the president who busted the budget, massively indebted the country and slashed taxes for the very rich. And now, they put up yet another statue. Crazy.
Wonderful. What a great way to remind honest Americans that satan's son is burning in hell for the perversion and theft he committed against a whole people. Odds are that one day this statue will be toppled like the statute of the little DICtator in Iraq was ground into fine powder. Praise GOD! Thank ye Jesus!
How much did that cost? Cut the budget my ass!

No better way to spit on the grave of a failed president like reagan than to immortalize him at an airport he hated and was hated by.

One of the worst president we've ever had. He marks the turning point in class warfare. This economic crisis we're in is the result.
