hey ive got a question.. whoever sees this help me out please, im going to get the standard pack (so its one cone one barrel) but does the cone go boardside or roadside??? please help. thanks!
Is it true that you should run a harder duro on TKP trucks like indys as opposed to RKP trucks? I'm thinking of 86a SHR elims. boardside and 83a SHR conventional barrels roadside for mild downhill and freeriding. I weight about 116 lb, is that an okay set-up? Looking for recommendations!
@motionboardshop hey... i'm about 220, i have a default sector 9 punta de lobos, but i want to do some changes to a better sliding and carving, i just want to know what you recommend me to buy!
First off, awesome video! Very helpful! I am about 140 and do some dancing, cruising, carving, and sliding on my EW miniglider so I was curious as to which set up would work best, both roadside and boardside? Thanks in advance!
@MotionBoardshop i plan on getting a landyachtz switchblade with paris 180 black trucks, orangatang yellow stimulus 86a wheels and bones super reds(with spacers) for bearings. i do alot of freeriding, sliding and carving. im 5 foot 6 inches and weigh 110 pounds. what bushings should i get. great vid btw

Are the super carve that you reviewed SHR or normal super carve?
I just ordered Orangatang Nipple(orange) bushings, are these good for sliding and being able to turn easily but still have a good amount of stability?
I'm 145lbs I ride a loaded tan tien with Paris 180mm and I would like to do the same things I listed above, what type of venom bushings and what duro would you recommend? I was leaning toward the super carve between like 81-87a
Hey Motion, know you guys are getting a lotta questions haha. but I was wondering what double barrel combo or regular and SHRs you guys think would be good for some freeriding. I weigh 165 pounds.
Hey I got some 81a standard for my randalls and they are way to turny for me... Im 5foot 8 and What duro should I get for double barells? I like my trucks a little stiff
Hi, im about the same specs as you, im 6 foot 2 inches, and i weigh about 200 pounds, i like to have a more freeride style of riding but i want to try barrels, what duro should i try? i like really turny boards
Hey guys soon imma be getting a new Wolfshark but i Dont know if i should put bear 852 or 50* Cals for light DH, Freeriding and Sliding and also what bushings should i get with those trucks if i am 5'7'' and 140 lbs please answer i'm so confused about it right now :S :(
HEY BOARDSHOP... IM 55KG AND IM 175 CM TALL... I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST SET UP IN BUSHING FOR ME... I DO ABOUT 60-70% FREERIDE AND 30-40% DOWNHILL
Some people really like the Paris hanger but would like to have a lower angle than the stock 50* plate that Paris has. So they use a Paris 180 on a Randal 42* Baseplate. If you would like to buy just parts you can call us at 206 372 5268
Hi motion board shop, I'm 5'1" 150lbs I Free-ride and Carve I like a loose setup for bushing but with stability and rebound. What duro bushings should I get? Plese Help, The bushing that come with my bears are too soft.
@jubgun Those green bushings in your bears are actually Venom 81a Barrels. I suggest you get a set of 85a barrels and run the following: 85a Yellow Boardside, 81a Green Roadside. If you have any other questions feel free to check out our website or give us a call at 206 372 5268.
Hey! I'm buying some Surf rodz Indeez, and I'm not sure what bushings I should get. I'm 5, 3 and 95 lb. What do you think? Cruising carving, and minor downhill.
Hey! Don't get surf rodz! Get some Normal Indys instead and get some 81a Barrels to run Boardside and keep the small indy stock cones for boardside. Surf Rodz are not reliable trucks and won't hold up to your expectations.
@MotionBoardshop what the hell indeesz are some legit ass trucks especially since u can get the fixed axles for a hundred bucks. I will agree with u on the fact that Random132456 does not need precision trucks though.
hi, i'm replacing the stock bushings on two of my decks... one for dh/freeride and another for cruising/carving... i am 150lb and about 5"4.
for my first deck i was thinking about getting 88a shr cones roadside and 91a barrel boardside. for my other setup i was thinking two pairs of 88a cones. what do u guys think?? i need something stable yet a bit "carvy" for my dh setup. the other one i really like to carve and pump... thanks :D
Hey guys, please confirm that this is a good choice for me. I am 150lb and like to carve and freeride (check my newest video for the type of freeriding i do) and i love responsive turns, but want to move to something slightly more stable. I was thinking about 87a cones boardside + roadside... but im still not sure. will this be very carvy? am i best getting a 87a barrel boardside?
i am 105 pounds and 5'4" i am getting some caliber 50 trucks. i do alot of sliding, downhill and crusing. what bushings should i get? please answer it would mean alot to me! :)
@SPEEDYSEAL OK i recommend getting a 78a barrel roadside, and 81a barrel boardside it a great setup for sliding, carving, and also is stable for downhill, and offers a great rebound, with the combination of calibers tight bushing seat. >:)
The new 2011 Bears come with Green 81a Venom Barrels that are made just for Bear trucks. They are great bushings and are just like a orange venom barrel but a different color.
@MotionBoardshop, I live in Australia and I am looking for an all around bushing, I want a bushing that help with every aspect of longboarding but mainly carving and sliding, I am going to be running Randall 180 trucks and I am about 50kgs what bushings should I buy? thanks you guys really help me out
@LongboardingIsALife you should get an 81a barrel boardside, and an 81a cone roadside, it gives you carvyness of the cone, and the stability of a barrel, and its a great bushing durometer to match your weight.
@Wake2Sno ok for downhill get an 85a barrel boardside, and an 81a barrel roadside, then for carving i recommend an 85a cone boardside and an 81a cone roadside.
I would suggest 85a Barrels all around for a stable setup and for a more agile setup I would suggest 85a cones roadside and 85a barrels boardside. Remember no cup washers! only flat washers!
i'm 5'3 and about 110, any recommendations? i want something that's really responsive and easy to slide, but then again stable. answer me? anyone lol?
Question: I'm rockin' 87a's on one of my boards but you don't mention them at all in this vid. Were they not around at the time this video was made, or is there some other reason they are not featured?
Is it bad for your bushings if you don't run a washer at all? I was thinking of doing that on my Randal 180's with Venom 85a and 87a barrels and having a flat washer on the 87a and no washer on the 85a to make the 85a seem a little more responsive than it already is compared to the 87a so it feels like more of a dive. 125 pounds. Freeride and DH.
You can run no washer on the bottom and be just fine, but a washer roadside is very important, otherwise the nut on your truck will eat away at the 85a bushing.
I am 5'8" about 135lbs and do a lot of sliding and carving. also a good amount of commuting, and i do NO downhill. what set-up would you recommend for me? by the way i will be riding the BC Moray with paris 180mm if that matters
Hey really nice video! Can you help me decide which bushings to go for, I weigh about 75 kilograms and have little to no skating experience. I am looking for a stable ride with the ability for everything. I am cruising/commuting orientated however I want the ability to crusie and carve as well as some freestyle tricks? So basically, whats the best all round performance set p for someone my weight - please help :D
If i have a 85a barrel boardside and a 81a barrel roadside with i be able to carve good i have paris trucks 180 or should i get a 85 a barrel bs and a 81a cone roadside i like to carve and initiate sharp turns but also gain a bit of speed what would you recomend?
I'm 5'6 150 lbs, Just started shifting out of carving into dh, I have a Chinook with bear 852's and o tang in heats and was wondering what bushing(s) would you recomend for me to start out with?
I ride a Landyachtz drop speed with Randall 180mm trucks with stock bushings, i do some free ride but when we find a decent hill we smash it, ive noticed if i adjust my foot at all while bombing the hill i can go into speed wobbles, i was thinking of doing the set up that you had with the one yellow downhill bushing and the one red, what are your thoughts?
And another pair venom supercarves should I put the super carves on the front truck or back truck or how should I mix them up if I'm looking for the most carve?
hey motionboardshop, so if I use that same supercarve setup on my loaded dervish with paris 180m with Retro big zigs lime you think I'll be fine? I weigh 180.
Carving bushings for carving trucks right? I've got some 50degree gullwings. I'm 150lbs at 5'7", which bushing would you recommend? I'll bomb hills too, I've got a gravity makai!
@TheJebalo get new trucks first. bear 852s are good. flipped they're very stable, unflipped they're like paris. trucks come before bushings although i would et both at the same time
i am 5ft 3" 125 lbs what bushing would you recommend i got some really hard rubbish bushings with my long board and i need a good setup i like to do some street but also want a good turn for carving but stable enough for me to go relatively good speeds what bushing setup would you recommend?
@chubeviewer if hes 200 an he gos for the 90a then 175-150 give or take would be 85a 145-125 would be 81a
an for anyone lighter 78a but if your around 120 i reccomend getting an 81a pack an a 78a pack an putting on your back truck the part that faces the road 81a the part that faces the board 78a and then opposite again on the front so 78a faces the road/pavement and 81a faces top this creates a rebound when carving/pumping your pushing the soft bushing first then compressing
@chubeviewer get an 83 A cone bushing road side, and an 85 A barrel bushing board side. the reason you would have that set up, is that it fits your weight and your riding style. the soft cone in the front will give you good carve, but the barrel bushing in the back, although still soft is a little harder, and it with giv you stability at higher speeds, so its the best of both worlds. you will have good carve and turn, but at the same time you with hav stability.
would 85a dh board side and 83a super carve roadside work with bear 852 on a switchblade if i want some carve out of them but still have stability? (im 120lb)
Hey guys I need some help. Im kinda new to skateboarding and I was wondering if I would need different bushings than the ones that came with my board. I am around 157 pounds and 5'3". Oh, and this is for SKATEBOARDING. PLEASE HELP
hey motion, im 5'10, 140 lbs and i am looking to do freeride and downhill. will the 85a/90a barrels be fine on randal 180s?

@wmalongboarding 87a cones and they're hard to put on the kingpin
wmalongboarding 2 months ago
@wmalongboarding
Just keep pushing, sometime the holes are undersized on the bushings or the kingpins are a little big or a combo of both.

i am 130 lbs and looking for a dh bushing set up what duro's would you recomend?
BHeadLongboarding 2 months ago
@BHeadLongboarding
81a Venom Barrels all around should do the trick for ya. Also no cup washers! only flat ones.
MotionBoardshop 2 months ago
Is it bad for your bushings if you don't run a washer at all? I was thinking of doing that on my Randal 180's with Venom 85a and 87a barrels and having a flat washer on the 87a and no washer on the 85a to make the 85a seem a little more responsive than it already is compared to the 87a so it feels like more of a dive. 125 pounds. Freeride and DH.
MyWoody26 2 months ago
@MyWoody26
You can run no washer on the bottom and be just fine, but a washer roadside is very important, otherwise the nut on your truck will eat away at the 85a bushing.

I ride a Landyachtz drop speed with Randall 180mm trucks with stock bushings, i do some free ride but when we find a decent hill we smash it, ive noticed if i adjust my foot at all while bombing the hill i can go into speed wobbles, i was thinking of doing the set up that you had with the one yellow downhill bushing and the one red, what are your thoughts?
loltastic11 3 months ago
I am 120 pounds and I downhill skate. I am looking for bushings that will not give me speed wobbles and are very solid. what would be a good for me.

TheInsanePanda 5 months ago
Carving bushings for carving trucks right? I've got some 50degree gullwings. I'm 150lbs at 5'7", which bushing would you recommend? I'll bomb hills too, I've got a gravity makai!
TheJebalo 5 months ago
@TheJebalo get new trucks first. bear 852s are good. flipped they're very stable, unflipped they're like paris. trucks come before bushings although i would et both at the same time

i am 5ft 3" 125 lbs what bushing would you recommend i got some really hard rubbish bushings with my long board and i need a good setup i like to do some street but also want a good turn for carving but stable enough for me to go relatively good speeds what bushing setup would you recommend?
chubeviewer 5 months ago 9
@chubeviewer if hes 200 an he gos for the 90a then 175-150 give or take would be 85a 145-125 would be 81a
an for anyone lighter 78a but if your around 120 i reccomend getting an 81a pack an a 78a pack an putting on your back truck the part that faces the road 81a the part that faces the board 78a and then opposite again on the front so 78a faces the road/pavement and 81a faces top this creates a rebound when carving/pumping your pushing the soft bushing first then compressing
jasmine58110 4 months ago
@jasmine58110 READ from the bottom comment of mine up or it wont make sence sorry... o.O
jasmine58110 4 months ago
@chubeviewer the harder bushing creating rebound to almost give you a pushing sensation out of each carve trucks may vary.....
jasmine58110 4 months ago
@chubeviewer the duro of bushings that you should get it ALWAYS your weight/10+70
MrSeangeeee 4 months ago
@chubeviewer get an 83 A cone bushing road side, and an 85 A barrel bushing board side. the reason you would have that set up, is that it fits your weight and your riding style. the soft cone in the front will give you good carve, but the barrel bushing in the back, although still soft is a little harder, and it with giv you stability at higher speeds, so its the best of both worlds. you will have good carve and turn, but at the same time you with hav stability.
