@Neumannfilms Why, you like complicated and unstable ? :)
In Final Cut Pro X, you have to click twice to do everything you did here, and there is no encoding to other codecs, you can scrub h.264 in realtime as much as you want :)
Thanks for the tutorial. I did a 1minute clip of clouds (time lapse). But I ran into a problem. I cut my clip 3 times (using the "S" button) to speed it up and slow it down. Now the problem; I rendered the clip and in those 3 spots where I cut it, the screen goes black for about 2 seconds. Everything else looks great except those 3 spots on the video. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks. Matt
I was watching your video "Shutter" and wanted to know did you slow down some of the shots in that clip with this very technique?? Like for instance when the woman's hair was blowing in slow motion for example.
@artsYedITs ok check this out. 1080p at 24 and 30 frames a second right? 720p at 60p right? The camera cant do 1080 at 60p because I believe that resolution is to high for 60 frames per second because of the cameras processor. Now recording 720p and rendering it 108-p will not have quality lose. It will only make the imagine bigger. You will not tell a difference. Ill up-converted regular digital camera footage to 1080P lol. It still looks the same.... just big.
Great video! I have a question, though. I just recently began using Vegas, and i amm having a problem whey import clips from my 60D. I am able to hear audio, but video is black, n
Cool tutorial. Just curious, did you, or do you - go to film school? Or is all of your knowledge self-taught? I'm trying to learn as much as much about film as I can.. what would you recommend I do?
@mikerstudios I did not and have not gone to Film School, but it is totally up to you. I know Film School is a great choice for a lot of people, I just learn the best when I teach myself stuff so that was the route I chose to take. I contemplated going to Film School many times.
@mikerstudios today, if you cant afford ging there, you are not missing much: learn from books and things you can find in internet, and try to get close to tecnicians who work in the industry, or with friends who are in a film school. Thats a great way to learn without spending much.
hey luke, thanks for this tutorial, it's going to help me out quite a bit. Also just so you know, i would like you to do some motion graphic tutorials on sony vegas, that would be great. anyways luke, thanks again, cant wait for the next upload

@vladimirtalijan Yes I know. This tutorial is EXTREMELY outdated.

@vladimirtalijan I know it says Feb. 25th, 2011 but I had transferred it from another channel. It's probably more like 2.5 years old.

hi luke using this technique is there anyway to make the playback speed slower than 0.4
SevinTV 2 weeks ago
@SevinTV It will look weird. Twixtor is a good option if you have the shutter speed fast enough :)

how did you get this video to 1080p here on youtube when it originally was in 1280x720?
did you just render it in 1920x1080?
that would have make the quality worse .. :0
artsYedITs 1 year ago
@artsYedITs it wouldn't make the quality worse....

@pacmanlegend but why do we have the ability to record in 1080p when we could easily record in 720p and crop it without having any quality losses?
