Bob Sanders is great but I think Ed Reed has got to be the best safety in the league. He has the speed, can hit, and he is probably the best ball hawking safety in the NFL ever. You also got to think about Troy Polamau. He plays all over the field.I've seen him at linebacker, pass rusher, he is great in run support, and he is a ball hawk.Sanders is probably the next best safety but the guy has a hard time st.aying on the field

Thats because they play different positions you idiot. Reed played SS his first three seasons...the results? He had 12 more tackles AS A ROOKIE than Polamalu this year. In those three years, he averaged more tackles and way more INTs than Polamalu in his career. Reed had 21 INTs in those seasons alone, Polamalu has 17 FOR HIS CAREER. He is an absolute joke in comparison, not to mention the fact that Troy is scared to hit someone above their knee. He is a pussy.
