  • I love Oarfish. They're truly fascinating creatures of the deep. We don't know anything about them. They do seem to come out of the sunless depths to die though, since that's when they're spotted the most; dead on the shores.

  • Oarfish....mkay?

  • must capture that pokemon! D:<

  • Comment removed

  • is that colessiio

  • Orefish....

  • OMG , Its fucking Milotic O_O

  • WHO'S THAT POKEMON......OARFISH,OARFISH!

  • Its stuff like this that makes me want to be a marine biologist =)

I find it really cool that i live so close by where this oarfish was filmed ^^

  • Wow

  • a wild milotic never appears tard

  • Cool to see a wild healthy one as most of them are found sick or dead

  • All of you brainless morons. this isint a Pokemon. its a Ora fish. get a life

  • @NerfLover300 Cry more "NerfLover300"

  • A WILD MILOTIC APPEARED!

  • I'm surprised it took so long to identify.

  • This must be what people are claiming to be the Lochness monster.

  • @133j0hn

    This is in the ocean....

Loch Ness is a freakin lake in Scotland...

  • @battousi20

I understand that; I'm not fucking stupid lol.

You're assuming that this species is only found in the Gulf of Mexico, and that it's the only left of its kind. What people claim to see in Lake Lochness may very well be an animal of this same exact species. Until it's proven otherwise, the possibility exists.

  • @133j0hn No, I think his objection is based on your conjecture that a fish that resides strictly in very deep saltwater locales could be found in a relatively small freshwater lake. A lake doesn't have an ecosystem big enough to support a fish of this size. Sorry, dude, nice try though.

  • @133j0hn

    You ARE fucking stupid.

    The ocean is saltwater...

    Lakes are freshwater...

The same species of fish wouldn't be able to survive in both waters. There are only a couple species of fish that can survive in both and that's because they live in the ocean but near the mouth of a fresh water river...unlike this species which lives in deep sea no where near the mouths of freshwater rivers.

  • Shrimpmanfish! Not to be mistaken with fishshrimpman r man

  • @MrNickmani Just ask the Japanese they fuckers eat everything that moves

  • @Itshardtochoosel Hahahah, So true!

  • That was a shrimp

    Enlarged 10,000,000X

  • That was exhilarating watching that healthy oar fish traveling about. What a magnificent fish!

  • I wonder what it tastes like.

  • 0:55 200 to 1000 meters in length? AW XD

  • I wouldn't be suprised if those things actually account for alot of Sea Serpent sightings through the centuries, sure not all of them do, but you can see where some sailors might have thought an Oar Fish swimming at the surface was a large serpentine creature with ridges or a fin or a mane running down it's back.

  • @cha5 i doubt alot of many people throughout the years have seen too many of these, since 1860 with all of our new technology theres been very minimal sighting im guessing under or around 100. these are very deep sea fish and only stray into shallow water if they are ill.

  • Crazy day at jellyfish fields! Aha

  • thumbs up if you thought the close the phone thing comment was gay

  • ok never mind i watched again and heard him say its part of an oil right but WOW that's deep.

  • sammy get mah POKEBALLS!

  • man they r truely beautifull... WOW!!

  • Every bizzare or weird story originates from somewhere or something someone has seen and mistaken. So it's only a matter of time we find what the crackpots saw when they wrote the bible haha.

  • its an ore fish, seriously rare

  • we need to explore our ocean more than space. We all already know there are other species in space but not in our solar system. Our ocean has so many spooky crazy things living in the deepest part of the ocean its scary. too dark to go swimming down there

  • @promathia1 exploration of the ocean is pointless..the pressure would crush you...atleast you can live on another planet...possibly...but the ocean...not for long...

  • it's an orefish

  • @keightley2011 yer thats what the man said.......

  • Back movement look like RODS observed in some aerial videos

  • Hardly what i'd call a "giant sea serpent..."

  • Scary stuff.

  • Iku, damn it you're supposed to swim in the clouds not the ocean... I guess she thought the oil spill was scarlet mist.

  • first i was like thats some kinda crab/shrimp, but im wrong. its one of millions deep sea fishies that werent discovered jet. its so pretty. it makes me happy. :3 <3

  • @Makzimiser

    haha someone had to..

  • Rayquaza is looking for Kyogre because with to much storms he can't fly.

  • That is a great discovery! There are so much things about the sea we have no idea about! The NASA thing is cool but hell we know more about the universe than we do our own planet! Sad, but there is no telling the cool and benefical things we can find in the sea!

  • NASA is one of the few government efforts that actually produce something worthwhile. There have been so many great spin offs which spawned industries, jobs etc . medical plusses, computer tech....great things..

  • that is not big

  • why is the altitude changing all of the time?

It goes from 000 to 187 to 000 to 176

Maybe their equipment is at fault and this is just a sardine.

  • nasa should put its money in our waters..

there is so much shit down there

  • it's the tether lolllll

  • when I was little I had a poster of some of the moste common fish of our area hanging on the wall. This has been my favorite fish (visually) for as long as I can remember. I'v alwys wanted to see one in its natural habitat, to se how it swims and behaves. Thank you <3

  • Pretty cool!

  • Wow Thats Pretty Huge!

  • OMG that is one beautiful fish!

  • That's just Rayquaza

  • @frescocabo LMFAO I LOVE YOU

  • @Uzu70 no wonderyou smell

  • @frescocabo It's more like Milotic

  • @frescocabo

    WINNER.

  • @ProjectDecade the only universe that is limited is the observable universe. But thats just how far we can see. the "Pitch-blackness" of unseen space doesn't mean there's nothing there, it just means light has traveled far enough for us to see it yet. I really think people should stop searching for answers they'll never be able to find and just concentrate on living your life. Don't waste it away worrying about how we got here, just be glad we did.

  • @NitrusTheUnholy hasn't traveled****

  • @ProjectDecade you nor noone else could EVER know that. The Universe has just as bigga chance of being infinite as it does being limited. Nothing in Science is fact. Science changes everyday as we discover things. Saying the universe is limited is basically saying there had to be a creator. People cant grasp the fact that time isn't something that exists, its a measurement used to measure distance. Which means that everything that exists, has always, and will always exist.

  • @ProjectDecade And whats beyond that sir? : )

  • we know more about the solar system as our own deep sea. So it is no wonder why we discover new deep sea creatures every year and are still amazed what these creatures look like. Even stories of giant sea monsters become more and more authentic as further we go deeper into the sea.

I can't wait to see more videos and photos of these creatures.

  • @ExpeditionMystery Yes,yes very true. But unlike the galaxy which is "infinite" as we know, the sea will eventually be "conquered". But then again,we got long way to go.As you said i can't wait for new videos, pictures anything that consists something new about the sea. : )

    Peace

  • oh it lives in the gulf? awesome, it's probably dead now

  • oarfish!

  • @An6eLdEaD i agree

  • later after 15 years

it will evolve into a real adulf iku nagae

    ^___^

  • Dont you love the world we live in??

  • probaly killed by the spill

  • :o what an awesome looking fish!

It's probably like: O_o what is this strange creature staring at me? There seems to be smaller creatures inside it! Fascinating...

  • shut up and eat it

  • silly oarfish..they look funny..

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • Probably a oarfish.

  • @ShadowTheSun correct as a matter of a fact, though im not sure which species

  • strange fish but very beautiful

  • whats up with the vidoes where people call in, their voice is always so annoying, my cell phone can record a complete conversation without sounding like shit. Why don't they use this simple technology to make these videos less shitty.

  • @TheRoboChronic because it was less shitty it will not be "scientific" recording 'cause they're serious and boring hahaha (joke)

  • HAKU!

  • @ilikefoodalot1 Spirited Away <3

  • next...godzilla lol

  • Is it a Oarfish?

  • @Horrorlord1 The man says its an Oarfish.

  • oh hai there Iku

  • I looks like a wiggly prawn.

  • Oar fish

  • It's an oarfish

  • Huh. I hear that these creatures are believed, in China, to be a dragon in it's early stage. With them living so deep in the water and unable to thrive elsewhere, they cannot gain their full true stage of growth. The people would only catch it and destroy it just because it is not a normal creature to them! FUCK HUMANS! HUMANS KILL ANYTHING THAT MAY LEAD TO INFORMATION ON HISTORY OF ANCIENT LIFE JUST TO BE FAMOUSE FOR CATCHING THE DAMN THING!!

  • @Koshirufang your human moron

  • Giant? lol, its simply zoom from camera.

  • i might as well think that is FAKE

  • The Dare Island Enigma is a cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • See sea monster video book trailer

  • wow

  • i thought oarfishes were....well, FISHES V__V

  • yea whats BP

  • @sdjhjfh the oil company, honey. The one responsible for the oil spill.

  • They have the most unexpected means of locomotion. I always thought they'd swim like eels, but they actually swim somewhat like cuttlefish.

  • BUT... Will it Blend??

  • BP KILLS

  • BP is a fuel company that made a massive spill in then ocean causing them billions of dollars worth of fines

  • its a fucking oarfish dude!!!!

  • XD if you idiots cant find out what it is then the answer : prawn LAWL

  • Ooooooooooo, sushi!

  • AMAZING!

  • quit bitching about bp hippy bitches.

  • @littleboybully Did you follow the spill news (or lack thereof) last summer? Your tone suggests that you're just trying to incite anger for whatever reason, but I don't think anyone who tried to wrap their mind around just how bad the spill was/is could choose it as a target for trolling. Seriously, check out all the crap that went on down there, if you please. You might find yourself shocked.

  • what the hell is BP?

  • @s3dchr

    British Petrolium and oil company

it had a major spill out in the gulf of mexico, the americans and mexicans working on the rig fucked up

  • @TweedleDumm1

    it's ok, thanks for apologizing

  • @s3dchr you are very welcome

  • but will it blend?

  • ... maybe BP was the cause of these things to evolve

  • ah the beauty of the nature, we are just destroying their land

  • It's like a barracuda with jellyfish characteristics.
