some psychological warfare tactics are meant to completely paralyze people mentally. If every person in a persons life friend and foe attacks an the same individual it is meant to freeze a persons mind and shut them down. This tactic would be used to make some one go insane if employed against them when they are right and wrong. Psychological warfare.
hey, he predicted the drawback on gold ("I expect it to rest soon"). Sugar- I just sold, but i still got rice. I am now looking at natural gas which is pretty low, and soon its going to be winter...
I've followed Jim's career for the past 10-15 years. I think he sees simple, common sense investment ideas ignored by the masses (who are distracted by what they're told on cnbc). Stocks have been flat for 11 years, while commodities have soared. Similar with his silver or sugar predictions (while the masses are obsessed with gold).
I don't think "connections" per se are as important as supply/demand and seeing these bigger macro trends.
@EMPIRE0FLIES Hi. Why are you talking about "High connections"...I imagine that Jim has friends in the high finance, but his predictions may "simply" come from his views about the developments in the economic world, don't they? Take his views about commodities: in his 2004's book "Hot commodities" he explains very well his rationale for the rise of "real stuff" 's prices for the next decade or so...so I think the "connections" are not very important here...
@antoxer For instance, prior to the Greek crisis, Rogers advised that there would be a rally in the dollar soon. Of course Soros was the catalyst for the temporary demise of the Euro. Rogers obviously will not reveal his source. These type of factors cannot be ignored. May not be important at face value. When making descisions, it is important to know the credibility of the source where descision making information is derived from. Jim is straight up. Alot is due to love 4 his children.
