Playing Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3 20 times each is how if I recall. Simply start the game up and when it loads, exit to the game list, start the game up again, and so on. It's a horrible design.
I do, but I can never get it to work. As far as I'm aware, you need to press up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up between when Sonic shows up and the screen flashes white. Either that, or it's during the Sega logo appearing. I've tried both and using 3 ups at the end but nothing works even after 100+ tries.
(cont.) thing left left left right right right up up up on d-pad or analog stick then press pause then press A and go to level select or stage select hold A+start and you have debug mode :D(you must hear a ring to indicate you did the code correctly)and in S&K you get level select on pulley the same as debug in S3K and hold start+A :D
actually there is a version thats not a bug in S3K if your on a swing in AIZ and do left left left right right right up up up on d-pad or analog stick you can enable levels select then press B in pause for slow gameplay and a for soft reset then go to level select select mushroom hill get on a pulley and do the same (continued in nect comment)
Start and quit each game 20 times and you'll get everything. It takes about a half hour so you might consider reading a book or magazine while waiting for the system to load.
Ring count doesn't matter. The seconds isn't the number of sprites visible (why else does a single object add 2 or 8 instead of 1), it's probably memory in sets of 512 bytes. 80, the max, means 40 KB of memory is used. The minutes is the number of lost frames which should be 0 (if it remains a constant 1, the game's speed is cut in half).
It's not bad, but Carnival Night Act 1 is the best in the game with Angelisland's starting music being next best and both versions for Ice Cap following (the second act being the better of the 2, though very slightly). The extra life and invincibility tunes make up 5th and 6th place and sky sactuary is in 7th place. Death Egg (both versions are tied) would fall in 8th place.
I wouldn't know for sure, but since it appears that the Gamecube version is exactly the same as the Genesis version and I can get this to happen on the Genesis version as well, it's safe to say it'll also happen on the PS2 version. The only way to find out is to try it.
Yep, pretty much. Hold A and press start while holding it. Continue holding both until you see the character display (the game will pause first thing). Press B to enter debug mode to confirm that it worked.
The minutes has to do with the frame rate - the number of "lost frames" as I call them. When CPU usage gets too high, the system is unable to draw everything within the time span of one frame, so a frame is "lost" while the drawing continues, causing a slow down in motion and weakening controls. The seconds is memory usage - keep adding objects with debug mode and watch it go from as little as 10 to maxing out at 80 (by near 80, the "lost frames" start to occur).
when I get to mushrrom hill zone I do left left left right right right up up up and when I go back to the menu I can get those box thingy like you do at carvinal night act 2
i found a way to get debug mode in s and k alone using s and k3 (you have to have sonic mega collection and unlock sonic 3 and knuckles and get debug mode in sonic 3 and knuckles) go to any level with any character use ALOT of super boxes use all of them use a spindash and it will send you to the opening of sonic and k press and hold b to sonic or knuckles press start it will send you to level select there press and hold b press start to any level and try out debug mode for yourself your welcome
You should consider Sonic Mega Collection then. You'll get every single Genesis-era Sonic game in one. You won't get Saturn or Dreamcast games though, nor Game Gear.
@ulillillia iv thought about getting it on my xbox360 for quiet a while now, didnt like the saturn/dreamcast ones as they where 3d, side scrollers are the best, keep up the good work on platform masters!
I can't answer this question because I don't have the DS nor do I ever want it. You'll have to search GameFAQs for that one which is as close as I can get.
@ulillillia I searched everything I could. I searched Gamesradar, Super Cheats, Game FAQs, Game Winners, Cheat Code Central, everything. Im trying to beat Sonic 3 so I can replay levels to get all the chaos emeralds, so I can beat it again, and unlock m Sonic Blast.
Are you trying to get debug for Sonic 3 as opposed to Sonic 3 & Knuckles? I've never been able to get it to work for Sonic 3 for the Gamecube version. I have a hard enough time getting it to work on the Genesis - it worked well for a few times on the Genesis, but stopped afterwards and never got it again since. The only way you're going to get debug with Sonic 3's levels is to use Sonic 3 & Knuckles, of which is an easy one to do and I have a 100% success rate with it.
As far as I'm aware, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is required (start and quit both Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles to access it). There are normal choas emeralds (for Super Sonic and Super Knuckles) and, exclusive to S3K, the giant-sized super emeralds (for Hyper Sonic, Super Tails, and Hyper Knuckles). Do you know how to use debug? A switches gravity or changes objects, B enters and exits debug mode (the character turns into an object), and C is for jumping or placing objects (Genesis buttons).
I've only once got it to work with Sonic 3. Despite a good 300 tries later (!), I still haven't been able to do it. I do know you press up twice, down twice, then up 3 or 4 times (I've tried both - some sources say 3, others say 4). For Sonic & Knuckles, I haven't seen a cheat, but upon finding the class 7 bug (a solid crash - 7 is near the top of the severity scale), I ended up in Sonic & Knuckles mode and it was only shortly before I uploaded this video that I could reproduce it at will.
That's amazing O_O I already knew about debug mode but never knew you could revert the game to S&K like that. Debug mode is an amazingly fun cheat, just playing around with it results in so many glitches... For example, try going to... umm... I think Crystal Palace, it's been a while - the place where Robotnik takes the Master Emerald anyway. Try messing around with gravity changes and debug while you're in the little things that beam you up to the next level. You can enter an alternate reality.
I was wondering if the effects of Sonic 3/Knuckles in the Mega Collection alter from the PC verison or the Genesis. Does "screen wrapping" still work in this verison of the game? Speed running is key to me these days, and I'd need the glitches to do them.
I have no idea what "screen wrapping" is. Is it the case of Sonic running or falling off the center position when going faster than 24 px/fr? If so, that, unfortunately to me, is still present. There doesn't seem to be any change to the game's mechanics at all. I have both the Genesis version and the Gamecube version and I can't tell a difference. The only difference comes from the controller layout difference, which has a very small effect.
Oh, that. Yes, it's present in the Gamecube version and I use it frequently. Marble Garden 1, Ice cap 1 (I have a very old video of it used here), Sandopolis 2, Sky Sactuary (Sonic only - problematic here), and Chrome Gadget (2-player level) have this effect in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I don't know if it's present in the PS2 version or any handhelds, but it's present in the original Genesis version and the Gamecube version with over 99% certainty (this is the maximum I use).
The bottom center one (which is also the placement of the Genesis' B button. The bottom 3 buttons on the right side of the controller, from left to right, are A, B, then C when referencing the Genesis version (which is how the Genesis controller is arranged). On the Gamecube, it's B, A, then X. You'd press "A" Instead. I'm just very used to the Genesis controller layout for the Sonic games (which is where and how I first played the games back in 2002) and it's how I reference it.
This is the Gamecube version. I reference the controls based on the Genesis configuration. It should also work on the Genesis and PS2 version as well. The computer version is immune to this because you can't activate debug mode.
It's not possible with Knuckles in zones 1, 2, and 6. I can do it on 3 (hint: the top), 4 (in all cases though hard on act 1), 5 (glide hop and skilled jumping)), 7 (glide hop), 9 (skilled spin dash), and 10 (glide over the enemy and glide hop). There may be others, but I don't recall them as it's been quite a while since I last played Sonic.
I don't know with certainty, but start and exit Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles 20 times. This should take about 30 minutes. That's how it's done with the GameCube version. I don't know if the PS2 version is any different....
I've explained the full 0 to 8 scale on my site. 7's are very severe though they are quite rare. Frequent or severe crashes are typical 7's. Crashers start at 5 on the scale. 0 is for harmless errors like simple misspellings or punctuation errors - things that don't affect gameplay or aren't otherwise noticeable (such as SMB2's speed randomization - you don't notice it until far from the level's bounds or use debug).
Only class 8 bugs would possibly ruin the game. You'll just have to use the reset button (return to the title for mega collection) or turn the system off then back on. Crashes do not ruin anything though you'll end up losing any unsaved data or progress.
I have encountered just one class 8 bug thus far. I found a way to go beyond a (graphing?) calculator's 400-character limit and after enough characters, the calculator froze and nothing worked to restore it - I could never use it again. That is a typical class 8 bug, the destructive type. When programming things, you'll run into a lot of 6's and 7's, and occasionally 5's, much more than you'd normally encounter.
It was a graphing calculator, not a game. I would have to buy a new calculator though. If the game did this, then it may mean having to buy a new console (the game itself cannot be modified - consoles don't have a "write laser" in them to do that).
There's a way harder way to get Debug Mode, it involves pressing a series of buttons (really quickly) as 3D Sonic flashes before the title screen. A ring collecting sound lets you know that you've activated it.
That's for Sonic 3, not Sonic & Knuckles. I, after about 300 or so attempts (!) have not been able to get debug to work for Sonic 3. My success rate for Sonic & Knuckles is far, far higher. Sonic 3 is the only one that remains elusive. I've varied the timing (during the Sega sound, after it, 3D Sonic, and the title), even varied the counts on the code (mostly between 3 and 4 ups at the end), all without success. AR has a working code, but without frame advance, it's no fun.
You're right, my bad - it was just Sonic 3. It took a lot of frustrating hours not getting the code to work, even a couple times where I was so used to hitting reset that I accidentally reset after doing it properly. Once you did activate it, however, it was the best thing in the world.
I wish more games let you have a debug mode that was this much fun.
up,up, down down, up up up up...I think that's what it is. That's level select. Hold A and press Start on whatever level you want for debug. Hard though.
As for Sonic and Knuckles...it's been a while but I remember doing it. On the title screen of Sonic and Knuckles press right x3, left x3 up x3, then hold A (or whatever the equivalent is on your version) and press Start. thats level select. Then hold A while selecting a level. If the code is wrong, try the S3K version left x3, right x3 up x3
OK I'm an idiot. I decided to boot up Sonic and Knuckles and check. Level select is there (go to mushroom hill, find a lever, then left x3, right x3 and up x3) hold A and press start to back to title screen then hold A again and press start to go to level select.
So I did that, went to a level, holding A and debug didn't work. Damn...Im convinced I did it somehow. Though I've been playing the S3 and K version so much that I must have confused myself. Sorry about that.
Yep, and that's how I discovered it. For a few years, I couldn't figure out how to reproduce it at will. Even today, I can't with certainty though my odds, from about 2%, are now up to probably 85 to 90%, a major improvement.
I'm still uncertain on what the timer means. It seems to work correctly for it being every 16x32-pixel block, but this doesn't always seem to be the case.
i know how to get tails in sonic and knuckles. do what he did except when you go to level select in sonic and knuckles choose tails and start playing!! but tails sprite will be messed up cause sega didnt have a sprite for tails in the game :D
... until you turn off then on the system again. I've done it many times on my Genesis but a simple off/on fixes it (though I have to reenter the codes for level select and debug...).
please in the name of god, how did you get knuckles in sonic 2 and most importantly sonic # and knuckles, this isn't an emulator is it, is that true!?, please comment, PLEASE!
I don't use emulators due to legal concerns. Instead, I use the real console. Just start up and exit each game 20 times and you'll get them. It's annoying and boring and locking them shouldn't have been done in the first place.
Have you entered the code properly? If you have, press either up once or down twice to see the "sound test" option, which also functions as level select.
Yes, I did left left left, right right right, up up up, and heard a ring sound. But I can't get it to work! Do I have the wrong version of the game on my Gens or what?
Pause the game and press A (Genesis, B on the Gamecube's Mega Collection) to reset the game (don't use the reset button). Press down twice (or up once) and you'll see "sound test". Press start and you'll see the level up screen.
I remember once I was playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles and somehow when I reset it, it become Sonic and Knuckles. I'd tell you how i did it, if i could remember that is =P
You don't need all the Emeralds, and you don't need to press start at the right time, instead just place enough monitor boxes and if you placed enough the game will bomb back out to 2 Player VS selection screen.
Then just exit the 2 Player VS and you will see the S&K title.
I tried that, but it didn't work that way. I maxed the memory out (placing as many as I could), busted them as I did here, but got nowhere. It was only with all the emeralds that was able to do it repeatedly.
I've also tried the same trick with the actual game itself on a Mega Drive/Genesis emulator on PC and produces the same result, but haven't tried it yet on real hardware as of yet though.
Green Hill, and by a huge lead. Spring yard is dull and boring. Green Hill, at least, has a nice beat/rhythm to it and sounds best around 76% true speed.
Start up and quit both Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles roughly 40 times each. Yes, it's really, really annoying (and boring). They should've never locked those in the first place.
how to get Sonic 3 & Knuckles:Play Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each. you don't have to beat any levels just start the game till Level 1 starts and exit the game and keep doing that
When I first checked cheats to getting these unlocked (since my top favorite was hidden - Sonic 3 & Knuckles) and the others were hardly of interest, I saw that it was 40 times each, and that's what I did and knew. It's very annoying that they have this kind of thing.
Uli, how does it make you feel when other People comment on your videos? Would you like each Person to offer constructive critism, or do you think People would be satisfied merely showing appreciated? And don't be offended, I'm the kinda Person who's into old-school gaming, just so much a YouTube Person. Keep it up!
The newest one I've played is Sonic Heroes and this one is quite a ways into negative territory. I never liked it ever since I first played it (like others do with Bubsy 3D). I reached the first boss and I couldn't defeat it. It took long enough that I maxed out the clock (with one ring to spare). I gave up and left the game to collect dust. Fortunately, at the time, it was rented.... There's no debug, no abusing Tails (or Sonic, Knuckles, etc.), a terrible camera, etc..
Have you played Sonic Megamix? It has very fast parts and there are tons of bugs there that you could play with, new levels, new characters, and new moves.
Search 'sonic megamix final release' here on youtube. The first video has the download link in the description.
I don't think I've ever heard of Sonic Megamix. It's probably for a system I don't have (I have NES, Genesis, PS1, and Gamecube - SNES if I could find it.). The one thing
How do you get Sonic 3 & Knuckles? And tell me for Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube

Not sure if you mentioned this in the video, but either the ring count or seconds tells you the amount of sprites on screen.

You don't need to have all the emeralds for debug. Just use no save.
Valientlink 2 years ago
For regular debug in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, yes. However, to get the glitch needed to access debug in Sonic & Knuckles, you will need all the emeralds.
ulillillia 2 years ago
I've gotten it on sonic & knuckles without emeralds.

I mean in the gamecube controller
Yasumirako 2 years ago
The bottom center one (which is also the placement of the Genesis' B button. The bottom 3 buttons on the right side of the controller, from left to right, are A, B, then C when referencing the Genesis version (which is how the Genesis controller is arranged). On the Gamecube, it's B, A, then X. You'd press "A" Instead. I'm just very used to the Genesis controller layout for the Sonic games (which is where and how I first played the games back in 2002) and it's how I reference it.
ulillillia 2 years ago
So you are playing the GameCube version but I'm asking which button to turn into a ring.
Yasumirako 2 years ago
does this work on gamecube version?
i pressed b and i keep jumping
Yasumirako 2 years ago
This is the Gamecube version. I reference the controls based on the Genesis configuration. It should also work on the Genesis and PS2 version as well. The computer version is immune to this because you can't activate debug mode.
ulillillia 2 years ago
@ulillillia WRONG ABOUT DA PS2. i have it but i was so pissed off cuz when i did it like 99999999898888888888 milion times, it wouldnt work :(

How do you get debug mode in Sonic 3 and Knuckles on the xbox 360?
KeithTheL00N 2 years ago
Unless they've changed it, check the cheats for the Genesis game. The Gamecube collection version works the same as the original Genesis version.
ulillillia 2 years ago
How do you get debug in Sonic & Knuckles Collection? (aka. PC Version)
superscout14 2 years ago
As far as I know, you can't. Check cheat code sites to be certain.
ulillillia 2 years ago
Man you make it look so EASY
napocomaso2 2 years ago
Used debug mode to go with knuckles on sonics paths and sonic on knuckles paths quite fun though.
Fonzersbox 2 years ago
I can get Knuckles on Sonic's path on almost every single level without the need for cheats.
ulillillia 2 years ago
even in stage 2 and 6?
I also managed to get on sonics path with knuckles but not with those 2.
Fonzersbox 2 years ago
It's not possible with Knuckles in zones 1, 2, and 6. I can do it on 3 (hint: the top), 4 (in all cases though hard on act 1), 5 (glide hop and skilled jumping)), 7 (glide hop), 9 (skilled spin dash), and 10 (glide over the enemy and glide hop). There may be others, but I don't recall them as it's been quite a while since I last played Sonic.
ulillillia 2 years ago
im not shure but i think i did make it in zone 1.
But i haven't played the game in a really long time.
Have to replay it one day to realize all the sonics only and knuckles only paths
Fonzersbox 2 years ago
I can get Sonic in Knuckles' path in ice cap 1.

how do you unlock sonic 3 & knuckles the game itself on the sonic mega collection plus?
sabbykeyless 2 years ago
I don't know with certainty, but start and exit Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles 20 times. This should take about 30 minutes. That's how it's done with the GameCube version. I don't know if the PS2 version is any different....
ulillillia 2 years ago
Cool, thanks :D
sabbykeyless 2 years ago
It worked! Thanks for your help!

I have a action replay and one of the cheats is debug mode. if thats on can use sonic in the sky sanctuary stage 2 and do the mecha sonic boss.
ultrasonic105 2 years ago
I don't need AR for debug... except in Sonic 3 alone since even with 600 tries at getting the code entered, it has never worked for me.

how can you get debug without sonic 3 and knuckles in sonic and knuckles?
eamon000 2 years ago
I don't know actually....
ulillillia 2 years ago
Do you think the answer might be in the sound test option in sound test mode? Sonic's developers have always seemed to hide secrets in there...
FSwayva 2 years ago
S&K has no sound test option that I'm aware of.
ulillillia 2 years ago
Heya, I've got a question to ask out of curiosity after watching the video. You talk about a class 7 bug and how that means of crashing the game.
What are all of the other classes of bugs and what effects can they have? Just a question from a curious gamer.
Whackjood 2 years ago
I've explained the full 0 to 8 scale on my site. 7's are very severe though they are quite rare. Frequent or severe crashes are typical 7's. Crashers start at 5 on the scale. 0 is for harmless errors like simple misspellings or punctuation errors - things that don't affect gameplay or aren't otherwise noticeable (such as SMB2's speed randomization - you don't notice it until far from the level's bounds or use debug).

MasterLink5678 2 years ago
if it crashes the game does that mean it will ruin the game
MasterLink5678 2 years ago
Only class 8 bugs would possibly ruin the game. You'll just have to use the reset button (return to the title for mega collection) or turn the system off then back on. Crashes do not ruin anything though you'll end up losing any unsaved data or progress.
ulillillia 2 years ago
ok thanks
MasterLink5678 2 years ago
I have encountered just one class 8 bug thus far. I found a way to go beyond a (graphing?) calculator's 400-character limit and after enough characters, the calculator froze and nothing worked to restore it - I could never use it again. That is a typical class 8 bug, the destructive type. When programming things, you'll run into a lot of 6's and 7's, and occasionally 5's, much more than you'd normally encounter.
ulillillia 2 years ago
that means you have to buy another game
MasterLink5678 2 years ago
It was a graphing calculator, not a game. I would have to buy a new calculator though. If the game did this, then it may mean having to buy a new console (the game itself cannot be modified - consoles don't have a "write laser" in them to do that).
ulillillia 2 years ago
oh ok i thought you were talking about the game
MasterLink5678 2 years ago
why is it desirable to get S&K debug versus just S3&K debug? what's added?
phasecactus 2 years ago
You can experience how this game's debug mode works and how it compares with the other Sonic games.
ulillillia 2 years ago
I also need to know what A B and C means for GC mega collection
napocomaso2 2 years ago
These are set in your settings. It could be pretty much anything so I just go with the Genesis version, since that's more "universal".

firetubeprodutions 2 years ago
I need to know how to use debug.
napocomaso2 2 years ago
There's a way harder way to get Debug Mode, it involves pressing a series of buttons (really quickly) as 3D Sonic flashes before the title screen. A ring collecting sound lets you know that you've activated it.
nappeta 2 years ago
That's for Sonic 3, not Sonic & Knuckles. I, after about 300 or so attempts (!) have not been able to get debug to work for Sonic 3. My success rate for Sonic & Knuckles is far, far higher. Sonic 3 is the only one that remains elusive. I've varied the timing (during the Sega sound, after it, 3D Sonic, and the title), even varied the counts on the code (mostly between 3 and 4 ups at the end), all without success. AR has a working code, but without frame advance, it's no fun.
ulillillia 2 years ago
You're right, my bad - it was just Sonic 3. It took a lot of frustrating hours not getting the code to work, even a couple times where I was so used to hitting reset that I accidentally reset after doing it properly. Once you did activate it, however, it was the best thing in the world.
I wish more games let you have a debug mode that was this much fun.
nappeta 2 years ago
up,up, down down, up up up up...I think that's what it is.
If the code is wrong, try the S3K version left x3, right x3 up x3
jedsithor 2 years ago
OK I'm an idiot. I decided to boot up Sonic and Knuckles and check. Level select is there (go to mushroom hill, find a lever, then left x3, right x3 and up x3) hold A and press start to back to title screen then hold A again and press start to go to level select.
So I did that, went to a level, holding A and debug didn't work. Damn...Im convinced I did it somehow. Though I've been playing the S3 and K version so much that I must have confused myself. Sorry about that.
Yup idiot.
jedsithor 2 years ago
I did that by accident while messing once
pilli10 2 years ago
Yep, and that's how I discovered it. For a few years, I couldn't figure out how to reproduce it at will. Even today, I can't with certainty though my odds, from about 2%, are now up to probably 85 to 90%, a major improvement.
ulillillia 2 years ago
I did this before as an accident too. As my game would freeze a lot I would just press start when it slowed down and got this. O_o
I wonder why it does that though...
autosaver 2 years ago
I loved playing with debug as a kid. Thanks for explaining all that, I had no idea what the timer meant.
forebodingburger 2 years ago
I'm still uncertain on what the timer means. It seems to work correctly for it being every 16x32-pixel block, but this doesn't always seem to be the case.

please in the name of god, how did you get knuckles in sonic 2 and most importantly sonic # and knuckles, this isn't an emulator is it, is that true!?, please comment, PLEASE!
sonicboom1991 3 years ago
I don't use emulators due to legal concerns. Instead, I use the real console. Just start up and exit each game 20 times and you'll get them. It's annoying and boring and locking them shouldn't have been done in the first place.

I can't get Sound Test to work on this!
jedihunter176 3 years ago
Have you entered the code properly? If you have, press either up once or down twice to see the "sound test" option, which also functions as level select.
ulillillia 3 years ago
Yes, I did left left left, right right right, up up up, and heard a ring sound. But I can't get it to work! Do I have the wrong version of the game on my Gens or what?
jedihunter176 3 years ago
Pause the game and press A (Genesis, B on the Gamecube's Mega Collection) to reset the game (don't use the reset button). Press down twice (or up once) and you'll see "sound test". Press start and you'll see the level up screen.
ulillillia 3 years ago
wow thanks! I can't beleive the only step i was missing was to use the code on both the vine and the ratchet machine.

This is Sonic 3 & Knuckles, on Sonic Mega Collection.
ulillillia 3 years ago
If you wait, the game will sometimes hard freeze and you'll have to try again. By pressing start as soon as it happens, you won't have this problem.
ulillillia 3 years ago
I remember once I was playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles and somehow when I reset it, it become Sonic and Knuckles. I'd tell you how i did it, if i could remember that is =P

i just want to know how to get debug in the normal sonic and knuckles...!
truemetalsonic 3 years ago
Uh, I just showed you in this very video. It's the only way I know how.
ulillillia 3 years ago
You don't need all the Emeralds, and you don't need to press start at the right time, instead just place enough monitor boxes and if you placed enough the game will bomb back out to 2 Player VS selection screen.
Then just exit the 2 Player VS and you will see the S&K title.
meman887 3 years ago
I tried that, but it didn't work that way. I maxed the memory out (placing as many as I could), busted them as I did here, but got nowhere. It was only with all the emeralds that was able to do it repeatedly.
ulillillia 3 years ago
I've also tried the same trick with the actual game itself on a Mega Drive/Genesis emulator on PC and produces the same result, but haven't tried it yet on real hardware as of yet though.
So guess SMC on GC works slightly different.
meman887 3 years ago
cool video, i have a few questions.
1. you mention that the bug you use to exploit debug is a "class 7 bug". what does that mean?
2. what are other examples of class 7 bugs in other games?
3. what are the other classes of bugs?

what do you think has better music, green hill zone or spring yard zone?

Green Hill, and by a huge lead. Spring yard is dull and boring. Green Hill, at least, has a nice beat/rhythm to it and sounds best around 76% true speed.

how did you get sonic 3 & knuckles on mega collection?
ManfredMitchum 3 years ago
Start up and quit both Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles roughly 40 times each. Yes, it's really, really annoying (and boring). They should've never locked those in the first place.
ulillillia 3 years ago
how to get Sonic 3 & Knuckles:Play Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each. you don't have to beat any levels just start the game till Level 1 starts and exit the game and keep doing that
hope this helps :)
NEOMANDX1 3 years ago
Its actually twenty times each. At least it it on the PS2 version.
jkillz420 3 years ago
When I first checked cheats to getting these unlocked (since my top favorite was hidden - Sonic 3 & Knuckles) and the others were hardly of interest, I saw that it was 40 times each, and that's what I did and knew. It's very annoying that they have this kind of thing.

isisdazs 3 years ago
Hey ulillillia! What is your compatibility rating with the new Sonic games, dare I ask?
GlobeNinetyNine 3 years ago
The newest one I've played is Sonic Heroes and this one is quite a ways into negative territory. I never liked it ever since I first played it (like others do with Bubsy 3D). I reached the first boss and I couldn't defeat it. It took long enough that I maxed out the clock (with one ring to spare). I gave up and left the game to collect dust. Fortunately, at the time, it was rented.... There's no debug, no abusing Tails (or Sonic, Knuckles, etc.), a terrible camera, etc..
ulillillia 3 years ago
Have you played Sonic Megamix? It has very fast parts and there are tons of bugs there that you could play with, new levels, new characters, and new moves.
Search 'sonic megamix final release' here on youtube. The first video has the download link in the description.
sacrisesma 3 years ago
I don't think I've ever heard of Sonic Megamix. It's probably for a system I don't have (I have NES, Genesis, PS1, and Gamecube - SNES if I could find it.). The one thing
