Rural Glamour: Help! Organizing my Makeup Vanity!

Have you organized your make up table yet?

I was going to suggest 3 - 5 drawer sterlites.

They cost about $7 each at walmart. You can use one for eye stuff, one for lips and one for face... I liked the way you did your eye make up...

I think one way to organize your makeup and things is to decide what you would like to display on the table to look nice, and what can be put away in plastic drawers and storage boxes. Once you figure that out you can start separating things and deciding what will leave you with a good work area so you have room to apply your makeup. Keep me updated.

buy baskets at the dollar tree small ones and put your eyeshadows in one lipstciks in another ect

I think you should have 1.00 baskets to put in the sterlite drawers because then you can find your makeup so much easier

Sorry, ran out of room. Things from your house such as cups, bowls, tupperwear, shopping bags, etc. It sounds odd, but they really DO help.

For more suggestions, just type "makeup storage" or "makeup collection" into Youtube and you'll find a ton of helpful hints and ideas.

In the long run, I think having a set of sterlite drawers with smaller drawers (verses the deep ones you have now) will make it ALOT easier to organize. I find (my cart has 4 shallow, and 3 deep drawers) it harder to organize and find things in the deep drawers.

As everyone else has said; small baskets! You can get packs of 2, 3, and 4 at Walmart for $1. They make things insanely easy to keep track of.

As for the TOP of your table; utilize things you already have in your house!

Girl, the dollar store and Big Lots are great resources. You need to go buy yourself some smaller Sterilite drawer containers, baskets and vases to house your everyday makeup, and then later on buy plastic basket so you can organize the drawers in your existing makeup container.

Also, checkout some YT videos on vanity organization, they helped me immensely. Blessings.

i agree with TheEccentricDIva the dollar store has great containers to store stuff for cheap....i have a few from there that i use to store my makeup and brushes.

Organizing makeup can be fun and I think utilizing the dollar store products are the best! I would put the makeup that you use the most out where you can see it and the rest in storage bins or baskets! It may take awhile to get it the way you want but please share when you do get it organized I confidant that it will be great!
