@ElZomboFantasma Aye. They're a great way to get around budget and time restraints but when you place it next to feature-film quality, high-framerate animations like Redline it pales in comparison

this look to have been made at or around the same time as Dead Leaves. I know i could probably research this but i feel as if this was made as a proof of concept of sorts in order to get dead leaves made at all. If im not mistaken some of the same voice actors are in use here as well.

Reminds me more of Dead Leaves then his other work for GAINAX like Re: Cutie Honey Ep.1, Abenobashi Ep.3, and Gurran Lagann.

Dead Leaves is a work of I.G. Productions, FLCL was a colaboration of Gainax and I.G. Productions.

Hiroyuki Imaishi made Gurren Lagann and Dead Leaves, but it has no relation with Gainax or i.G. Porductions

Abenobashi ep 3 was some of Imaishi's most impressive work ever. The actual episode script wasn't that good (except for a few memorable quotes) and I'm not really a fan of the show, but the movement and facial expressions were brilliant.
