I'm wondering which has more kick: the later model 3.3 liter engines with the factory superchargers, or the newer model 4.0 liter standard engines? I think they are both DOHC, but i like the newer body style better.

@misterbonfire The 3.3 with the supercharger is not much better than the stock 3.3 which is too underpowered in my opinion. The 4.0 liter is much better - especially if you want to do any towing.

I did this trail a month ago in my 4runner. The difficulty surprised us. I wasn't expecting it to take so long.

Anyone know another, less time consuming route near pleasant? We're planning another trip this weekend, and I'd like to stick to the same area.

Hey brotha, got an X myself, same kind, Nice job with the Hella 500s in the bumper, I just installed them myself on the brush guard. Myquestion is what kind of lift do you have, how many inches and did you install it yourself. If you did was it difficult?

That is Onix - you can check him out on thenewx. He's got a 3" PRG Suspension Lift, and a 3" Body Lift, and yes, he installed it by himself. The Suspension Lifts are quick and easy, the body lifts are easy, but VERY time consuming.
