Just another thing, If you are looking for a weapon that scales with dexterity then try to get a hold of the long sword those knights use, I think it's called a "Baldur side sword" or something like that.

It looks big but I checked it's stats and it scales up more with dex than it does with str.

It's a pretty good sword and has a wide attack arc for normal attacks and a thrust attack for the strong attack, which I hear is good against creatures with thick armour.

When those knights with the rapiers bring the sword up to their chests, it means they are in a parry/riposte stance so DO NOT ATTACK THEM, wait for them to lower the sword/guard.

While they are in that stance take the oppertunity to heal yourself or launch a firebomb/spell at them instead.

alright best way to kill the knights are to lead them to an open space and circle them blocking their attacks till u get behind them then backstab them repeatedly

i farmed these undead balder knights today and got their armor, their helmet and their legs in 20 minutes. I wonder if they also drop their shields, it looks pretty cool....

@TommyThisIs Yes you can, But first you have to ring both bells. Then he appears in Firelink (giant floating mouth/head thing). Since there is no item burden so save up your junk, its quite the bonus when you get there.

This is probably a really old comment by now, but if you kick a blocking enemy they'll flail back and be open to attacks. Also, if you want to backstab, you have to be standing perfectly still behind an enemy. If you're moving at all, you'll just do a normal swing.

you dont need to stand still to backstab, you just have to stop guarding with your shield before the attempt

@XxAfroThundaxX some bosses and mini-bosses drop items like the red drake on the bride after the taurus demon. If you shoot the dragons tail with arrows 15-20 times you get an extremely powerful sword. Im guess he glitched the boar cause it has a tail, or else he got extremely lucky

@mrmori69 it has a drop rate. i killed it both with fire and backstabs (2 different characters), no helm.

@Bakalar its not a drop rate i think. You have to break the boards helmet during the fight which means aiming for its head with either ur weapon or firebombs. So backstabs will never drop the helm.

@DrBaronz I killed the boar with 3-4 backstabs and got the helm, so it's more than likely drop rate.
