This is quite possibly the most underrated band of all time. I got turned onto the Feelies in the early 80s and still look in the record stores hoping I would see a new record from them. Wake Ooloo is the good follow on from Glen Mercer.
I don't know if Glenn Mercer will play it live (he himself played almost all the instruments on it), but the new solo cd is very good and in a style similar to the atmosphere of this track.
ok for the drummers (actually there are four guests S.Demeski, D. Weckerman, A.Fier and V.Denunzio), but there's nobody with credits for the keyboards on the record sleeve
This video is so uplifting it is almost like gospel music for me, I've watched it and listened to it at least twelve times since discovering You Tube. I revewed the Feelies first record for my college newspaper and when the recording this osng was on came out, Higher Ground was the cut amongst some others I played to get an instant lift in my spirits. I hope Glenn Mercer plays live when the solo recording comes out.
higher ground is one of their best songs - and they got a lot of best songs!!!

I saw these guys open for REM in 1986, in New HAven, and then again at UCONN in 1988. Fantastic.
