That is actually completely wrong. The proper function of a battery requires it to lose its energy, and regain its energy. If you keep a constant charge on the battery, it will slowly but surely die off a lot faster. I am not saying to let the battery run completely dry, but dont keep a constant charge on it.

Im with sprint and have the Curve 8530. Its actually very fast! Dont believe what they say that BBs have slow browsers...but I guess that depends on your carrier.

Anyways, I love the styling of this phone. Amidst all the modern Androids and iphones I still like these BBs...there is just something classic about them.

IM WAITING FOR THE TOUR2 9650!! Its gonna have wifi and trackpad baby!!

Great info! I've been with Sprint for about 15 yrs and only had about 5 phones in that time. The one I have now is 6 yrs old, so it's time I upgrade to something more 2010. I've researched the Tour and the HTC Hero, but can't decide which to go with. Both have great reviews & great features, but I need to pin down exactly why I should go with one or the other. Is the Android platform better/more fun and modern or is a BB time tested and more reliable? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but the sync able IS NOT proprietary, It's MicroUSB. The 8900, 8220, and other phones like the V8/V9 from Motorola and Hiptop LX 2009 use this came connector.

yes you can....you can use cut your fave 30 secs of the song or just assign the whole file....it'll play the first 30 secs of the song....but hell yea....one more thing i love about the BB

I'm about to get my first Blackberry. I have Sprint.

I can't determine if I should get the Curve or the Tour.

Can someone advise on their opinion as to which way I should go? I've done a ton of research as to the specs. Yes, the Tour is faster, etc etc....however I really only need to use e-mail, MMS, SMS, Navigation, Google Maps, and Talking.

It seems that the Curve is longer battery life.

Tour or Curve? Which way do ya'll feel I should go based upon my usage details.

Dont do it I Currently have a Hero, Its an okay phone a little overratted if you ask me. I've had blackberrys for the past 9 years and switing from a blackberry to a hero is a culture shock to me. I use about 16,000 Txt a month, and that will not happen on a hero. Last month on my hero I sent about 1300 txt... The blackberry tour is a more mature and reliable phone. I have to pay full price for my tour but it is well worth my $500 where as I'm losing business with my hero. Hero+Email= Hell

2 questions..is it true the quickpull app helps saves more battery? and 2 my screen is always low even on full 100 but when i get towards a light it gets brighter..how can i make my screen brighter?

quickpull is basically a app that reboots your phone as if it pulled the battery.. it dont really save u power but it will refresh ur device of things that u had open and close them all which will in the longer run save u battery.

the light is basically the autosensor, i myself have tried this and there is no way to control it, you can just control your under normal use bright settings.

you need to charge it as much as you can to keep it topped off when you can. the fully drain and charge 3 times is for older batterys, i tried this on a newer battery and it basically is killing the battery slowly so go ahead and plug it in and dont worry about draining it to low to charge again.

Hey ezsoulja, just letting you know that the USB cable is not actually proprietary, it is just micro-USB as opposed to the one which is seen regularly on blackberries, mini-usb, just letting you know in case you lose it so you don't go for the more expensive branded ones instead of the cheaper normal micro-USB cables. :)

BOLT is faster than opera and BB brower. Has cleaner home screen and loads faster. Actually both will open pages up the same speed, but bolt is finished when opens and not still downloading images. Also when you scroll up and down images is there, compared to BB brower has to catch up each time.

I've tried opera and its pretty good, but you should try BOLT, it faster and more made for the BB.
