I think people get too offended when it comes to topics about religion, because its sensitive. But yeah we do get along. Take the people in Malaysia for example, its a multi-racial country, my friends are Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Christians.

Where else in the world can you see all of these religion united as one? Its amazing when religions do come together. =)

Welp, I have a very diverse group of friends when it comes to religion. I'm Christian. Their religions range from Hmong, Buddhist, Wiccian, Jehovah Witnesses, athiest, and agnostic. I don't judge them and they don't judge me. We openly discuss our different religions and what not but we don't let our differences get in the way.

I have a devout muslim friend who I love dearly and when I was in Germany with her he got into a pretty heated debate about what is truth from a spiritual perspective. Since then I have tried to avoid discussing the details of my faith in terms of religion with her but I am actively working on some educational workshops that will hopefully be a starting point for meaningful cross-religious dialogue like you discussed...

i can see where you come from...many of my friends have different religions, yet we still all treat everyone equally. i am agnostic. my friend dani is satanist, jared is a scientologist, evan is an aetheist, and somnang is a buhddist. there are a few obstaccles for me when it comes to religion....which is why im agnostic. to anyone who doesnt know, agnostia is basically a way of saying im not sure.....

well actually there are tons of reasons...most of my family is christian, but i feel that it really doesnt make much sense to me...i used to be a christian, but then i questioned myself one day and asked "...how?" and since then i've been agnostic because im not sure...i beleiv i may become an aetheist...but i'm not saying theres anything wrond with dif religions, i just don't think i beleive in something like that....but my christian friends are shocked when they find out i dont beleive in god.

Well, its always good to have a strong faith system. One that can make you feel whole and give you something to believe in. You dont wanna give that thing a chance to lose yourself and your purpose in life. Im sure that a blessing will your way. Its not your fault that there wasnt someone there to really TEACH christianity to you. There are people who are so-called christians that were not called by God to teach people. So, I can see how you feel.

well it's not just that reason i am agnostic. it was my choice. i am not a scientologist, but i do beleiv that there are more likely causes of what is said in the bible. im not saying your wrong, and im not saying im right, and viceversa. but in 6th grade, my teacher told us the definition of mythology. "an explanation of how things were made and how they work" thats what i personally beleive christianity is. just mythology that i beleiv can be explained in other ways.

I think that it is possible to be friends and of different religions.I think the both has to agree to disagree though because there are going to be varied opinions and faith based ideaology that you may encounter along the line that both may feel passionately about..But the key is to have respect for the other opinions. :)

One of my good friends in school was a Buddhist and we had talks but never stopped being friends over it. I think the hardest people to get along with and stay friends are Aethiests because all the ones I were friends with kept liking to make jokes about God that I wasn't cool with.

I agree with you about trying to keep out of religious debates too. I'm Catholic but not all of my family is. I'm open to other religions, the only problem I have is when people judge and say their right and everyone else is wrong. There is some similarity between religions but that doesn't mean they are the same. As far as my friends go, we talk about out religious beliefs but my friendships with people go beyond religion.

personally, i have friends who are not christians (which i am) but as far as close friends, no. my best friend is also a christian and i will have it no other way. that doesnt mean i will not be friends with someone who isnt but not very close or best friends. for me, they will not always have the same moral or values i have (which not all ppl who claim to be christians do)but there is a better chance. besides the bible does speak on having close friendships with non believers.

Anyways, I agree. I'm Christian, but I have friends who are a Buddhist turned Mormon, Catholic, Agnostic and Atheist. I never tried to shove my beliefs down their throats and I never will because my beliefs are different from other Christians. I dont base my friendships on my morals and beliefs and I'm not gonna make my friends feel bad.

My high school was Muslim dominated (I'm a Muslim myself), and one of my best friends was an atheist, and I guess we just "clicked" because we never judged each other (least I don't think we did :P). He left school that year and we lost contact though. :( I hardly ever get along with anybody with the same ethnic/cultural background as myself. :/
