  • I am full agree with the author they are in truth very much like and I also was thinking about it!

  • idiot they dont look alike at all! look at heath amazing jaw and big sculpted head and obviously nolan said he wouldnt reacast

  • @AntiGDYB First of all, I posted this video 4 months ago. A few days or weeks prior to Chirs Nolan announcing his choice in not bringing back the Joker, according to IMDb. It was speculation. Second of all, it's a matter of opinion that the two actors look alike, which is shared by others as well. Finally, I have a hard time respecting the opinion of someone who comments with second grade grammer.

  • I greatly agree that Joseph Gordon should walk in Heath Ledger's footsteps as the Joker, even though it wont be exactly the same as having Heath as theJoker

  • WOW!! you and I have the same kind of ideas, i was always thinking about how the joker should have a little cameo or something while he's doing time in Arkham or something...

  • one problem with the gotham asylum thing...it would only work with levitt if he could wear mak-up...but why would he wear make-up in the asylum...

  • @dajmasta94 That same question could be redirected at Ledger's performance of the Joker. If he didn't die would he be not wearing any make-up in the asylum? Either actor would have to wear the make-up to pull it off.

  • Would be cool if this happens and Joseph doesn't have to be like Heath. He can make it his own character while still tipping a "Ledger-like" performance. And for that to work there should be less Joker so he'd seem more significant. Perhaps Joker is in Arkham asylam working a storyline with Dr Harlene while Batman visits him trying to get help because he can't seem to crack the code of a maniac that only another can relate to.

  • @DanteThriller1 That's a great idea. I think that we saw something along the lines of "He can make it his own character while still tipping a "Ledger-like" performance,"recently in Toy Story 3...Blake Clark did the voice of "Slink" because Jim Varney died. A perfect substitution because their voices sound so similar, but if you notice, "Slink" didn't say as much as he did in the two previous films.

  • @paden10 Yeah, exactly.

  • I loved Ledger as an actor, and I absolutely love Levitt as an up and coming actor as well, but I think he should stay away from this role. Ledger placed the Joker up on such a high pedestal that Levitt might have too much riding on his back to do the same, not saying he can't, just saying it's not a good idea. And I fully respect your opinion as well, and yes, I do agree, they look VERY much alike. :) Sorry for the long comment.

  • @SkylarG: Thank you for responding, and no apologies are necessary. This is specifically why I posted this video: To spark conversation and opinions. I honestly don't mind if they DON'T bring back the Joker, I'm just saying I would like him to have a Dark Knight "Scarecrow" type cameo or ANY type of mention so it's not like they forgot about him.

  • I honestly believe Nolan won't have the Joker back for the third installment. Just in my opinion, I think people will expect Joseph Gordon Levitt to bring to the screen what Heath Ledger brought. So people will already have high expectations of Levitt in this role, where they assume he will be basically mimicking what Ledger did. And if he doesn't, then he will most likely be bashed for not being "the Joker" like how Heath was. (cont'd)
