Yao play batter when he was a rookie coached by Tomjanovic, he was an comprehensive player, he can jump, hook, shoot inside and outside, assist, wow, he

could do really much when he was a rookie, but when he coached by Vangandy he can just play inside and his shoot outside gradually sucks.

hopefully the new coach will make him be a comprehensive player again.

i think the rockets plan to beef up yao ming was a choice that may limit yao ming's career. because yao was so much lighter and more agile, now that he weighs more, its hard on his joints, back, knee, ankle and many more problems may happen. as a finesse player he was very effective and probably would be more useful now in Rick Adelman's system.

Nice vid. I believe that Yao is more versatile than Shaq (further range shots, better free throw %'s). Shaq has been dominant, but it is b/c he's got alot of body and knows how to use it. But now, the refs are calling him out for that (i.e. giving him fouls). Soon enough, if Yao keeps it up, there is no doubt in my mind that he will become better than Shaq. Also, Yao is not as aggressive as Shaq (one of the downsides in his game). Again, nice little montage of clips of Yao!
