Hey, I've been playing this tune for 30 Yrs, ,, It's why I learned to play guitar. But Your the absolute best I've herad by a Mile. Kudos Man,, Your right on it.
Very nice rendition! I really enjoyed it. Excellent fingerstyle expression. The swaying is NOT a negative aspect. Don't let the comment about the supposed dizziness affect your natural style. There will always be those who focus on the things that don't really have any bearing on the music. Besides there are already too many that sit or stand still and play like a stick. Be yourself. Peace.
There are two other S&G numbers you should please consider to play - 'Sounds of Silence' and a number called 'Duncan'. Hope you are nearer to playing 'Streets of London'. I will be waiting for it. Its a real pleasure listening to you. Are you likely to visit Auckland, New Zealand anytime?
Thank you. Both are my favorite song but not easy to arrange because of the structure of the songs. I am currently working on pretty big translation job and will have to be away from guitar for a while. I sure would like to visit there.
Oh Please Please listen to Nick Drake and see if you would like to cover his songs. They are so very haunting, and in different tunings all of them, and his life was taken at such a very young age. It would be nice for his music to live on. See what you can do! Cheers!
Although I don't usually try a song that I have never heard since I arrange and play mostly with memory of each song, I will try if I could find his music.
Thank you. The score for the arrangement is available to those who supported me in some ways. (like ordered my CDs, donated me, or helped me to have gigs, etc...). I need some push to keep on. I hope you understand. I sold this Godin last December to get by holiday season.
the guitar picking is a hard thing for me to follow... i will appreciate if you can instruct me on that. Thanks! you are an excellent guitar player as you already know! best!
Hello, peacejoytown... I love your arrangement on this beautiful tune... I know you have been getting inundated with requests for tab, but I was wondering if I could trouble you for just one more...? Thanks!
Thank you. The score for the arrangement is available to those who supported me in some ways. (like ordered my CDs, donated me, treated me a dinner, or helped me to have gigs, etc...).
Well, that includes me buying an envelope with cusion inside, writing addresses, walking ten minutes to the post office. and have some chatting with people in there.
Beautiful, I have played this song for over 40 years and now I have heard something fresh!(the final D chord before the motif is a bit weak; I hear a little more emphasis on my copy of Paul's original recording) thanks.
Beatiful arrangement, beatiful sound on Nylon string (Godin?) despite the original composition on steel string and great feeling in yor playing
Just one comment - I would leave the original Fmaj7 on 0:30/31 and not change to a Dm which is a more "round" harmony but makes this part a bit "too minor"
Thank you. Do you mean where I play Am-Em-Am-Em sequence. I hear that the chord sequence is like this with the bass line goes A-G-F-E. Maybe I will try to add F on bass on 2nd Am chord in the sequence. It may make the arrangement bit harder to play though.
Fmaj7 sounds more like Am/F (Am with F on bass) to me. These two can be same in form though. It is easier if the sequence is played in lower position, but it will becomes tricky when melody is played at same time in higher position. I found one way to have F on bass but need some practicing. Thank you for an advise.
I enjoy your playing very much. I have only been playing the guitar a short while, but growing to appreciate the beauty and complexity of fingerstyle guitar. May I have a copy of the tab for this arrangment?
Thank you. It's an electric acoustic guitar. The sound of acoustic is there but not to big as a real one. I have some info on my website. Click the link in the song description section.
Thank you. I used to play with different tunings but too lazy to change tuning now. I love slack key guitar though. Maybe I'll start playing when I can have a spare guitar with different tuning.
I noticed that you stick your pinky finger out very straight on your picking hand in most of your videos. I was wondering why you do this. Did you used to have a habit of pressing the pinky finger against the body of the guitar to use a base? I do that now, and I'm trying to break that habit, so I was wondering if maybe sticking your finger out like that helps?
That guitar your playing has a very pretty sound. I know it's not a Gibson...who makes it? Doesn't look like a Martin & Sons either.

Yes i meant that sequence (i wrote Dm but meant Am) - Paul Simon's sequence (as much as I can decipher) - is Am Em/G Fmaj7 Em
