  • That guitar your playing has a very pretty sound. I know it's not a Gibson...who makes it? Doesn't look like a Martin & Sons either.

  • @5inthehole Thank you. It is Godin. I sold it a few years ago because it was too big for me.

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • @bodjables Thank you.

  • Nick work!

  • @honestresponse Thank you!

  • Very nice rendition! I really enjoyed it. Excellent fingerstyle expression. The swaying is NOT a negative aspect. Don't let the comment about the supposed dizziness affect your natural style. There will always be those who focus on the things that don't really have any bearing on the music. Besides there are already too many that sit or stand still and play like a stick. Be yourself. Peace.

  • @webbyter Thank you. I listen to advises and take ones that I think help me to be a better player.

  • Nice....dam good job

  • There are two other S&G numbers you should please consider to play - 'Sounds of Silence' and a number called 'Duncan'. Hope you are nearer to playing 'Streets of London'. I will be waiting for it. Its a real pleasure listening to you. Are you likely to visit Auckland, New Zealand anytime?

  • Thank you. Both are my favorite song but not easy to arrange because of the structure of the songs. I am currently working on pretty big translation job and will have to be away from guitar for a while. I sure would like to visit there.

  • That Guitar has a very rich deep sound to it, thanks for the post.

  • Thank you. Unfortunately that guitar isn't mine anymore.

  • Wow man. Very nice. Reminds me of chet with that guitar.

  • Thank you. The one Chet played was Sand Guitar which looks similar to this one. This is Godin.

  • great cover...ever heard of nick drake? he's also an amazing folk guitarist from the 60s. You'd be good covering his songs.

  • Thank you. I am not sure if I know that player. The name sounds familiar though.

  • Oh Please Please listen to Nick Drake and see if you would like to cover his songs. They are so very haunting, and in different tunings all of them, and his life was taken at such a very young age. It would be nice for his music to live on. See what you can do! Cheers!

  • Although I don't usually try a song that I have never heard since I arrange and play mostly with memory of each song, I will try if I could find his music.

  • Yours is the best arrangement of this song I've ever heard. The purity of the Godin's sound only adds to its quality.

I would like a copy of the TAB please, for which I will be extremely happy to pay.

    Bravo!

  • Thank you. The score for the arrangement is available to those who supported me in some ways. (like ordered my CDs, donated me, or helped me to have gigs, etc...). I need some push to keep on. I hope you understand. I sold this Godin last December to get by holiday season.

  • the guitar picking is a hard thing for me to follow... i will appreciate if you can instruct me on that. Thanks! you are an excellent guitar player as you already know! best!

  • Try picking slowly in a tempo that you can play and speed up to tempo as a whole.

  • you are a gifted player thanks///

  • Thank you.

  • You have some serious talent!

  • Thank you!

  • VERY NICE

  • Thank you.

  • Absolutely amazing! If I were a girl I would fall in love with you ;)

  • Thank you. Good thing you were not a girl. (^^);

  • Well done body. Pure and clear. I will use to sing this beatifull song. Could you please try the same for this old guitar Jonhn Denver?

  • Thank you. May be I'll try that song in future when I get an old guitar.

  • great !!!!

  • Thank you!

  • Great job! You did justice to a great song.

  • Hello, peacejoytown... I love your arrangement on this beautiful tune... I know you have been getting inundated with requests for tab, but I was wondering if I could trouble you for just one more...? Thanks!

  • Thank you. The score for the arrangement is available to those who supported me in some ways. (like ordered my CDs, donated me, treated me a dinner, or helped me to have gigs, etc...).

  • good score....thank you!!!

it was a little hard to read ever heard of guitar pro? it could really help u organize ur scores...check it out

  • You're welcome. Have fun! I know that program. I am just used to with Finale.

  • Do you know a good site to get the Tabs for this? I'd love to learn how to play it!

  • This is my own arrangement. Check your inbox for the score.

  • amazing, congratulations

  • Thank you.

  • amazing...can you tab

  • Thank you. Check your inbox for the score.

  • I enjoyed the playing quite a bit.

  • Good to hear that.

  • You are fantastic!

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you very much. I will take your video as instruction!

  • My pleasure.

  • Gee, doing that by ear is not that easy. I get confused with my own typical picking sequence, do you have tabs for your arrangement?

  • Alright, check your inbox for the score.

  • Great, thanks alot! If it wasn't for that cursed shipping costs, I'd buy one of your CDs instantly. I'll think about it anyway.

  • Well, that includes me buying an envelope with cusion inside, writing addresses, walking ten minutes to the post office. and have some chatting with people in there.

  • I have to correct myself. Your prices are absolutely okay, I thought that shipping to Germany would yield much higher shipping costs.

  • I've been sending a several CDs to Germany and the shipping fee is same as other places.

  • that's awesome.

    it's so great.

i wish that i can play that song on the guitar/

  • Thank you.

  • Excellent job !!!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Great

    peace, Claudio

  • Thank you Claudio.

  • Beautiful, I have played this song for over 40 years and now I have heard something fresh!(the final D chord before the motif is a bit weak; I hear a little more emphasis on my copy of Paul's original recording) thanks.

  • Thank you. You mean the D chord just before the ending. I see what you mean. Taking account Art's voice, I thought the chord should be soft.

  • Beatiful arrangement, beatiful sound on Nylon string (Godin?) despite the original composition on steel string and great feeling in yor playing

Just one comment - I would leave the original Fmaj7 on 0:30/31 and not change to a Dm which is a more "round" harmony but makes this part a bit "too minor"

  • Thank you. Do you mean where I play Am-Em-Am-Em sequence. I hear that the chord sequence is like this with the bass line goes A-G-F-E. Maybe I will try to add F on bass on 2nd Am chord in the sequence. It may make the arrangement bit harder to play though.

  • Yes i meant that sequence (i wrote Dm but meant Am) - Paul Simon's sequence (as much as I can decipher) - is Am Em/G Fmaj7 Em

    Cheers

  • Fmaj7 sounds more like Am/F (Am with F on bass) to me. These two can be same in form though. It is easier if the sequence is played in lower position, but it will becomes tricky when melody is played at same time in higher position. I found one way to have F on bass but need some practicing. Thank you for an advise.

  • I enjoy your playing very much. I have only been playing the guitar a short while, but growing to appreciate the beauty and complexity of fingerstyle guitar. May I have a copy of the tab for this arrangment?

  • Thank you. Check your inbox for the score.

  • faaantaasssticcc.. great version !. thats a nice guitar. is it electric ?

  • Thank you. It's an electric acoustic guitar. The sound of acoustic is there but not to big as a real one. I have some info on my website. Click the link in the song description section.

  • Very good!

Make sure you tune first though. ;-)

  • Thank you. I will try.

  • It is my goal in life to play as good as you. Wonderful! Absolutely amazing!

  • Thank you.

  • wow man i wish i could play like you!

  • Wishing is a good start.

  • I love this song, it's so calming :).

  • Thank you.

  • Beautiful! You pulled it off so well without lyrics. Very nice.

  • Thank you.

  • With a rendition which enriches such a beautiful song as "April", Juliard awaits for thee! Great Job!

  • Thank you.

  • awesome. You pay homage to the greats like Beamer or Isaacs. Your version does bring peace my brotha.

  • Thank you. Good to hear that. Who are Beamer or Isaacs?

  • incredible finger pickin' and slack key guitar playing Hawaiians. i think you'll dig their style.

  • Thank you. I used to play with different tunings but too lazy to change tuning now. I love slack key guitar though. Maybe I'll start playing when I can have a spare guitar with different tuning.

  • beautiful. would love to get your tablature, please? thanks!

  • Thank you. Check your inbox for the score.

  • I noticed that you stick your pinky finger out very straight on your picking hand in most of your videos. I was wondering why you do this. Did you used to have a habit of pressing the pinky finger against the body of the guitar to use a base? I do that now, and I'm trying to break that habit, so I was wondering if maybe sticking your finger out like that helps?

    P.S. I LOVE this arrangement

  • Thank you. That's my bad habbit. I am trying to fix that. Ever since I broke that pinky when I was 14, I can not control it much.

  • How long did it take you to master this?

  • For this song, a few hours.

  • I love it!! Gorgeous job. Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you and you're welcome.

  • Great cover!

    greetings
