Im one of the old guys at 48, and pay £320 for my zx12r . But you want to come to the uk where insurance companys will happily releive you of serious money to insure one of these bikes . really man i have a 02 busa too controlled? i think not 120mph in first gear is not controlled i hit the limiter on mine at 186 in fifth gear at 9k these bike can easily go over 200 and they get there quick there is nothing controlled about that haha

I could not believe the only difference between the two engines is 12cc. Yeah ZX14 has 12 more ccs than the Busa. Anywho, I have the 2002 ZX12R..... Waiting for Kawi to pull their head out their ass and make a ZX14R.... ZX14 frame is too ZX11ish, and the seat is ugly too. I need to look good too.

how much power does the hayabusa have? how about the zx14? their websites hide these numbers. a fair comparison should be the POWER-to-WEIGHT ratios of the two bikes as this would be devoid of pilot error or skill. like in the italian brands that publish their engine powers and weights so it would be easy for the buyer to make calculations for comparison of power-to-weight ratios.

well this is not enough to understand which bike is faster ... u have to check dyno runs too, cause the fastest bike is the bike with the best shared torgue in all rpms .

LIke R1 .. what a bike , what a POWER , what a TORGUE , but .... after 11.000 rpm

you're right about the dyno runs too, the comparison should then also have WET WEIGHT-to-RWhp ratios too as it's better than the POWER-to_WEIGHT ratios i mentioned before. about the R1, it's an inline-4 despite the cross-plane crank, i thought it would turn it into an L-twin with early power and torque. best sounding jap bike though.

I owned a 2008 hayabusa and traded that thing in for my 08 zx-14, the 14 is leaps and bounds a better bike. i used to like busa's until i rode a 14 there's no comparison

hayabusa vs zx14... it's a virtual tie. Between these two bikes what it would come down to is rider skill + rider weight. I know everyone is all about one or the other like any other rivalry out there but the truth it that its all hype and bullshit. No bike will "smoke" the other with two equal riders on each.

My fully stock 03 XX,dynoed at a "weak" 136hp at the wheel can give a new R1 a very hard race and it is slow as shit compared to the busa.

Ask around R1's are the slowest of the liter bunch,they are the only contemporary bikes that I like playing with cause depending on balls I can eat them up easiest.

well here it is i own a 07 zx-14 (my first bike ever) my brother has a 08 busa. My bike has 1845 miles his 700 miles. on a roll I get he up to 155 the he is right beside me at 186mph. I dont think his bike is all the way broke in yet. I let u know when he gets about 500 more miles on it. there both fast as hell!!! both are stock for now

Please man..Suzuki failed. The Busa couldn't beat the Zx12 and ten years later this is it ...Just a bunch of corp. bullshit all they did was a simple turn of their old rusty screw driver. O by the way my 2000 Zx12 does the 1/4 in 10.02 with my fat ass on it and all I have done is a pipe and power commander and fuel nanny. So how much better are any of these new bikes ?
