  • Honda is finally making a v8 and is coming out 2015. Needs to have variable valve timing and 100hp/liter ;)

  • Z06 LS7s get 24-27mpg in 3100lbs so this combo will get that guaranteed..have your cake/eat it too win win swap. This swap is for people who were sketchy w 3500lb Solstice/sky and want quality everywhere

  • Even if you used LT1, it'd still be wicked fun!

  • i love how all the haters are claiming weight distribution is an issue. sweet ride, well done, man.

  • That's a sweet ride .Good job.

  • U NEWBS, the ls1 is alluminum its not THAT heavy

  • Nice swap!!!! BTW You shouldn't even bother responding to haters.

  • It is faster but it probably handles like a fat hippo. Yea all it would do is make the car faster, unless you swapped out suspension etc good luckkk cuz tht first turn.. ha it wouldn't stand a chance on the touge

  • @ffe224 Just goes to show what your dumb ass knows. This car is 65 pounds more than the stock one and is still 50/50 weight dist. and no it does not handle like a fat hippo (unless its on your girl back) as it has been on a road course with no issues. People think that all V8's are pigs the LS1 is as light as most 4 cylinders out there being that it is all aluminum. Go do some google now and get informed on what you thought you knew.

  • @dragotink FKN lol... the s2000 never came with 50/50 weight distribution. i can guarantee that it isnt now

  • @enigma9789

Your right it was 50.2 / 49.8 dumb ass what would you call that.

  • @dragotink - Heard this before. I also heard mpgs aren't too bad either

  • @ffe224 he probably just made it for fun all u stupid ricers think its all about turns

  • @ffe224 Lol woah, thats a red flag. By swapping out the F20/22 is probably a better idea. The LS producers more power and only weighs just a bit over what the f20/22 weighs. Id actually would recommend this build for track, drifting, and drag because of the fact that it has perfect HP/TQ ratio and the fact that S2k has a 50/50 weight distribution. A LS motor is cheaper to make HP/TQ gains compare to a f20/22 motor. S2K w/ LS1 = what honda should of done.

  • @RobertMoua Yes sir what you said. They don't think about the weight of the intercooler, turbo, manifold, plumbing and all the rest just to get to where my HP is NA and by that time the 65 pounds that this cars weighs over my stock S2000 is probably lighter than their FI S2000. And just for the record all but 2 of my cars i have ever own have been imports so i think that makes me JDM just as much as the rest.

  • Yeah i think what alot of JDM fans over think is the muscle engine=mass weight. But really its just the frame/body that the motor is sitting in. Im a big JDM fan myself then a muscle fan but im not gonna shit myself by saying a LS motor is a bad fix for any car. I know dam well that muscle cars have more then the strength to carry its own weight no matter how heavy it is. JDM folks need to realize that vtec is just value timing and not a force eduction. dont get me wrong, vtec is a good concept.

  • @dragotink How much did this cost to install, (not the engine) but just installing it. How much of the car needs to be modified to be able to fit in this engine? Or do you just pop the engine in? Not too how this stuff works but that is one sick honda.

  • @RobertMoua i agree ,im a honda guy and agree+ easyer to find build, ect not THAT much more weight love it!!!!

  • @ffe224 "it wouldn't stand a chance on the touge" LOL, yeah dawg it's not mad sick tyte jdmyo anymore eh bro ? Fucking ricer faggot, maybe once your mom buys you a car you'll realise that Japanese cars aren't where it's at. I've owned 2 CRXs (one B16 swapped) 2 Civics (LS/VTEC and PMTR swapped) and a Prelude, while they're entertaining it gets tiring having to beat the piss out of your car to pass most SUVs on the road. Kids nowadays, watching too much top gear and best motoring.

  • @ffe224 try to read about these V8's, they are surprisingly light v8's. pushrod aluminum block! pushrods may be outdated according to some people, but they are a nice design that lets it sit in the back part of the engine and lower too. im not saying it will handle as good as a lighter engine, but what im saying is if somebody wanted a honda+v8, this will be a good option for them to produce great power while keeping close to the great handling. all comes down to the persons needs and prefernece

  • @ffe224 an ls1 that is all aluminum is around 420lb's. an f20c is around 325lb's.....

  • Great motor choice! Love LS1's and always wanted a LS1/LS2 swapped s2000/miata/rx7/solstice.

  • Nice swap. looks fun.

  • awesome swap, well done. lol at all the dumb haters who dont have a clue how much better this car is with that engine. more vids mate! :D

  • needs a twin screw whipple :)

  • I have never, ever wanted an S2000.... until now...

  • Damn it fits like a glove! I give props...

  • hey i saw your car in modified at the local supermarket a few months back, been meaning to look you up. it sucks that youtube is full of haters that dont know shit lol you should be getting a lot more rep for your car. do you got any more future plans for this?

  • What's with all tht bondo

  • @AFoamPillow

Its called primer not bondo. The car has very little bondo on it.

  • @dragotink i honestly dont see any

  • @AFoamPillow

shit aint bondo it;s primer.. lolol

  • nice swap, how did it come out when it was all done?? i have a yellow 2002 s2. how hard and how much of a swap was this?? i'd love to do this to my car

  • @airgucci you can see the 98% finished car on youtube its the blue one now. for more info on it check out V8S2000.COM.

  • i can respect this. i still thing 800+ hp with a nice turbo setup would have been cooler but this is all motor. even weight distribution throughout the car and no tuning issues. twin turbo this bitch and run it on alcky lol. thatll make some numbers

  • Hey dragotink Ignore the all the haters. Sounds great and makes me excited to finish my v8 swap

  • Thats awesome, don't listen to the negativity these other kids spew out. If I had an S2000 id drop a 383 stroker in her! It just sounds so beautiful.

  • this is like watching a cat bark

  • and to the honda... very nicely done. read the writeup on v8 s2000 forum. owner did one helluva job. makes me wanna do a ls swap into an s2000 but i need to get my ls1 jeep finished first.

  • and to the honda... very nicely done. read the writeup on v8s2000. owner did one helluva job. makes me wanna do a ls swap into an s2000 but i need to get my ls1 jeep finished first.

  • this is pimp.

  • nice bro. i rather see it in this car then a miata. but my favorite is the rx7. did you put it in stock? or modded. either way your off to a great start.

  • @zeppelin2684 he didn't embarrass me and I have an s2k. I'd love to know how you did this, my motors blown.

  • A V8 that puts out the same power per litre like the F20C woul be a proper engine swap....means a 5,7 with 690Hp...that would be a blast!

  • poor ls1, it deserves a better home...

  • Finally, an S2K I can say I like. It sounds amazing, man. I would love to have an LS1.

    I'll stick with my Z, though. :P

  • Comment removed

  • Don't listen to all these haters. I LOVE F20C's but I also LOVE LS engines.. You cant call yourself a true motoring enthusiast if you take sides. This build is wicked, did you have to do any firewall or tunnel modifications?

  • @jet2067 YUP! i agree on all points. when i did my first ls1 swap into my s13 people dogged it...but the guys who are real motor heads loved it. besides, drifting with tons of smoke and tons of torque on tap is just too fun

  • Nice ride brotha... Gotta love the S2K ...as a fellow owner this is something to be proud of...

  • @zeppelin2684 "omg" what are you, a 15 year old girl? If i wanted to put a heavy motor in it i would have done the 2JZ. besides the 2JZ throws off the balance as it is to long to fit the right way and goes in front of the shock towers. Besides this is one of two S2000 i have so I dont think I shamed the S2000 community.

  • @dragotink nice work on the v8 conversion. ive done that b4 to an s10 and its not as easy as it looks...sounds to me like the "s2000 community"is a bunch of cry babies"waaa youll blow me away with that v8 no fair"enjoy that car man im sure it really rocks now

  • @philtripe yea it rocks and rolls off the corners it takes now because of improper weight distribution. so much for almost 50/50 split. Fail.

  • @johngo1224 oh like youd know ,im sure youve driven both the 4 cyl and the v8...i had already done 2 v8 conversions by the time i was your age so i think i speak from experience when i say the v8 power will more than make up for any(if at all) handling loss which can be fixed with a stiffer front anti sway bar and some stiffer shocks(i used gas charged)

  • @johngo1224 shows how much you know about that LSx. hahahhaaa. idiot

  • @johngo1224 Well for those out there that would like to know the car only weighs 65 lbs more than my stock S2000 and it is still 50/50 coming in at high 600lbs and low 700lbs on the corners and with some coilovers i could dial it in perfect.

  • @dragotink GOOD stuff! Don't get why people don't understand you can achieve the same results of FI without the huge weight increase by a simple engine swap.

  • @dragotink as a fellow tuner i personally dont think that an american V8 belongs in a japanese car. However, from a car enthusiasts point of view that is a sick build and good work!

  • @dragotink the way honda shouldve built an s2000!

  • @zeppelin2684 wtf! you tuner fanboys are fucking nuts. no wonder some people disable messages from their videos.

  • @zeppelin2684 this kidd dumb, in japan they be swapping SR20"s in to S2K"s,, theres never a limit in swaps

  • Woow.. That thing has to scew! Get that cleaned up asap! Beastlyness :)

  • The only reason why people choose to put the LSx motors in anything RWD because they are very reliable, inexpensive to modify, have vast aftermarket support and get very decent gas mileage for the power they produce. You almost never hear about people putting a 360 Chrysler, 5.7L/6.1L Chrysler Hemi, or 4.6L/5.4L Ford Modular motors, in any RWD import, nor putting Japanese motors in other domestic cars. Mod for mod, dollar per dollar, LS1/LSx motors RULE!

  • @zzzurd You take an LS1 and I take my VG30DETT or A 2JZ with a 1500.00 budget and I bet U I win.(not including poor mans HP nitrous) 500whp in a VG or 2j simple bolt ons and still reliable. Put your laundry list together of what it takes you to get 670whp out of an LS1 add them up and let me know

  • @DVcustomZ Good for you. So a 2JZ or RB26 swap done right, in a car running, driving and tuned all for $1,500? If that includes the cost of the motor, I call BS, unless dealing with car thieves and buying stolen engines is your thing.

  • meh, there goes the honda's best power to size ratio motor :/

  • 2 words. Do want. Put some quiet mufflers on there with a cutout...make it a sleeper!

  • that'll surprise every racer out there

  • Go ahead and put a carb on it since you are running a pushrod. I do not get using a motor with marginally better performance than the old one. The LS is like a knee jerk reaction for ppl. UUUHHHH I don't know what to do with my import bubba well put a pushrod in it that will getter dun

  • @DVcustomZ marginally Better? the ls1 comes with 350hp and 350lbs of torque and is way cheaper and easier to modify, what planet are you from??

  • @turbonegro1120 If you are impressed with a 350 crank hp motor then you hve fun in your slow car. My motor bone stock at low boost 12psi (9psi stock) made 384 WHP and 374tq b4 5600 rpms

  • @DVcustomZ LOL exactly my point, you need boost. all you need to do is put on LS6 heads and different cam and the LS1 can make 400+rwhp easily. anyone with a brain knows the potential of an LS1 and they are so fucking light for their power its ridiculous. i dont think alot of people have the common knowledge to know that a pushrod engine is WAY lighter than a dohc engine design. this is why there is almost little weight difference between the k-series honda motor and the ls engines

  • @turbonegro1120 My car came stock that way so after all those bolt on mods you v8 makes the power mine does stock from the factory, awesome. And I do it with good gas mileage and driveability. it is funny that the most hp per liter motor chevy has ever massed produced is the 4cyl turbo. NA for the loss

  • man! what kind of modifications did you have to do to get the motor in there, did you cut that front cross member?

  • @3712bigboy NOPE!!!!

  • HAHA SOMETIME PEOPLES LIKE THIS DUDE ZEPPELIN2684 NEED TO DO THE MATH.ME N MY BROTHER ARE THINKING DOING A LS1 5.7 TOO GOT TO TELL YOU THE TRUE GOTNNA LOVE THE BIG MOTOR

  • i almost feel like yankin my 2.2 out and jammin a built LS6 in with a T56, that'd be sick!

  • wouldn't a v8 completely ruin the handling of the s2000? just wondering.

  • @potwdt Well the V8 is aluminum so i doubt there will be any significant changes.

  • @undeadkillers

whats the curb weight of this car?

  • @potwdt there rednecks they can only make left turns...

  • nice, that seems like a fun project. Get that thing painted tho!

  • Really why the hell this is disturbing a disgrace to a legend the honda s2k the engine it has stock is a work of art and it can rev 9000rpm maby over that with mods just why would you do something like this V8's dont belong in Hondas or Japanese cars i hate it when people do this

  • @gravityhammer25 Maybe because the LS1, is light enough that it still maintains it's 50/50 weight distro, gets better than or equal fuel economy to the original inline 4. All while making more hp/tq. The aftermarket potential to make it even faster is also incredible.

  • @M44resto

it does not get better fuel economy than the vtec inline 4 a v v8 will never com close to the fuel economy of a 4 cyl NEVER your statement is possibly the biggest bullshit ive read on youtube.

  • @gravityhammer25 Well, you're definitely an idiot then. LSX corvettes routinely get 26-28mpg on the highway while the S2000 gets low 20s on average. I had a 2001 S2000 a couple years back and now I have a 2002 Firehawk Trans Am that gets better fuel economy than my S2000 ever did, especially on the highway. Just look up fuel economy ratings.

  • @M44resto

Your the idiot that is total bullshit you are saying. the highest you would get from that thing is 18 s2000 definantly gets better gas mileage than the firehawk you cant always believe fuel economy ratings they will say anything hondas can get more mpg than the say it can and a v8 can get much less mpg then they say it will

  • @gravityhammer25

Well I have both a stock S2000 and this one and I can tell you that they get close to the same MPG's. My stock gets about 28-29 mostly highway to work and the LS1 get about 26 MPG. This is in part due to the fact that the Stock S2000 runs 4000-4500 RPM's on the highway as where the LS1 spins at a low 1600 both doing 70 MPH. So until you build your own don't knock it they are both a blast to drive. And its not a disgrace to the S2000 if it did not have an engine to begin with.

  • @M44resto

20mpg on S2000??? do you really know how to drive that car, WTF?, My uncle have a S2000 and he gets about 30mpg highway, in 6th gear all day long, and 19mpg in the city average. You still don't understand some things. S2000 isn't more than 1.5 tonnes like 98% of american cars. Higher weight >> more torque, lower weight >> less torque. But LS7 in ZO6 gets about 28-29mpg some even 30mpg, because of that, LS7 is better for MPG everything depends what you want in same time.

  • @gravityhammer25 are in a competition to see whose engine can rev higher? cause i thought that point was to win the race, not whose car can rev higher, lol

  • @turbonegro1120

No because a stock s2000 will blow away a trans am any day of the week

  • @gravityhammer25 Ok wasn't talking about any cars here just engines, but since you bring it up, no year s2000 is faster than any year LS1 firebird/camaro....

  • @turbonegro1120

Oh hahahahaha you underr estimate the s2000 if you have actually been in a honda you would know what im talking about hondas fly for four cylinders they are faster than they look on youtube,so when you see one beat a firebird/camero dont come crying to me.

  • @gravityhammer25 ive never seen a stock s2000 beat any ls1 stock camaro. there fast but no that fast bud LOL. the best run ive seen or heard of are high 13's for the s2000. i know all about them so dont try to bullshit anyone on here, im giving you a heads up.

  • @turbonegro1120

they are that fast dont tell me what to do I will say whatever i want and I know an s2000 is faster than a shitty ls1 camero, you never heard of power to weight ratio

  • @turbonegro1120

and oh douch bag shit bird/crapmero cant turn for shit, just like any american car so if your on a curvy road, you are going to see the s2000's taillights 10 car lengths ahead,or you will lose control of the trans crap/crapmero and hit a tree.

  • @gravityhammer25 are yopu on crack, first you talk about winning in straight line, now your talking about curvy raods. seriously STFU you dont know shit. you a disgrace to both s2000 and ls1 fans

  • @turbonegro1120

You shut the fuck up.....you cant even spell you right, and quit using commas you use them before a conjunction you retard!!!!! How am I a disgrace to ls1's fans I am not an LS1 fan at all. They are the ones who should be disgraced for liking a crappy car like that. You and your shitty v6 mustang LOL an s2000 will definitely smoke you!!!!!!!

  • @gravityhammer25 OMG your such a fucking retard when did i say the car i drive is faster than an s2000!!!!! get the fuck over it! you said an ls1 camaro/firebird will lose in a race against a stock s2000, now be a man suck it up. you were wrong! stop trying to bring other shit up to try and save yourself from looking like a complete idiot. you obviously don't know shit about an s2000 or ls1 or you would have stfu by now.

  • @turbonegro1120

Because an s2000 will beat a stock ls1 you little bitch. Im not trying to save my self im just making the point that your a loser, and you have been owned on all levels. The only people i see driving v6 mustangs are girls;so when somebody honks at you for no reason you know why ;)

  • @gravityhammer25 well i know plenty of guys driving v6 mustangs, maybe i cant afford v8 insurance and gas because im currently in college getting an education, something that you obviously don't have. and a stock ls1 will beat a stock s2000 any day.... give respect to the s2000 where it belongs. the s2000 runs 0-60 in about 6 secs and 1/4mile around 14 secs. an ls1maro/bird does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and 1/4 in low 13's. Ive seen both race so you should probably stfu before you look more idiotic.

  • @turbonegro1120

I am getting an education you dumb fuck, but you still fucking fail for driving a v6 mustang what were you thinking? I see plenty of young kids driving v8 mustangs.... An s2000 will still beat an ls1, it doesn't matter that those times are it is all the driver witch determines the winner.

  • @gravityhammer25 Drivers are important but its not going to make up for a car being almost 1 full second slower. the only chance an s2000 would have would be from a roll, even then it is much slower than an ls1. you do realize that the ls1 camaro has a better power to weight ratio and makes OVER TWICE the amount of torque the s2000 does. both have 6 speeds. if you cant tell by just looking at that you honestly dumb. but ive seen both at the track, yet you refuse to believe me, your wrong.

  • @gravityhammer25 and why does it matter i drive a v6 mustang, my car isnt fast lol, not saying it ever was either...... just simply saying that an s2000 deosnt not beat an ls1 plain and simple. lets see why do you think the owner in this video put an ls1 in the s2000........hmmm..........

  • @gravityhammer25 i think you should go to your local track(drag or roadcourse) and observe real lap times, 1/4 mile times, traps speeds, 60 foot times before you go flapping your ignorant jaw. a bonestock LS1 SS(factory lid and exhaust manifold) 6sp is capable of high 12's and an A4 will run mid to low 13's... put longtubes, lid, and a cheap tune they will run consistent mid 12's. the only thing your little rant with turbonegro1120 did was prove how much of a ignorant dumbass you are...

  • @99airborneSS

U dumb whore an S200 will have faster track times then a camaro any day.

  • @gravityhammer25 your intelligence is amazing. I'm assuming you drive a s2k or work in a shop that builds and maintains these automobiles (changing the oil on your mothers civic doesnt count) or perhaps you have a friend of a friend that drives a prelude because everybody knows that a prelude is just a cheaper version of a s2000. <= that statement is an example of the public evidence you are putting on this site that shows your ignorance in this matter.

  • @99airborneSS

Once again bitch, the s2000 has better track times then a camaro nuff said.

  • @gravityhammer25 everything you type here is meaningless and only takes away from the posters reasoning for putting this video up which is to show the world the payoff from all the hard work, sweat, and time he put into his project. kudos to dragotink he got his hands dirty and made a custom car that is 1 of a few in the world... you on the other hand are still sitting at your computer ranting about nothing probably right after you just wacked your pecker off to some crummy anime porn.

  • @99airborneSS

Garbage car, 2JZ s2000 is better tenfold.

  • @99airborneSS

Any competent driver will get better "lap" times in an S2000 versus a Camaro. Maybe you should go talk to one. 1/4 mile times, traps speeds and 60 foot times have little to do with it unless the track you're thinking about is an oval. There, now you've learned something. I love V-8's too but you have to get a clue. I notice you like to throw the dumbass and ignorant comment around a lot. What's your deal anyway? Do you spend all day just hating $hit?

  • Wouldn't it have been more respectful to the S2000's heritage to build up the original engine and then supercharge it to get the same kind of power? XD A S2000 with a V8 is just... vulgar... The engine was one of the best things about the S2000: an engine that revs to 9000 RPM and traces its ancestry to the Formula 1 engines Honda has built for teams such as McLaren Mercedes.

But then again, if it hadn't been done I admit I would probably still be curious about what a V8 S2000 would be like.

  • @SabaothChristou this car came with no engine or drivetrain so not as vulgar i guess :) but I do still have my MY03 S2000 as a daily driver.

  • did you do anthing to keep the front/rear weight ratio?

  • @darkcyeote nope it is still 50/50 and comes in at 2760 lbs

  • a redneck with an LS1 is like a retard with a boner. they'll put it in anything.

  • @te37drift yet he can out run you with stock power ahahh wow sorry not everyone has cash to blow on a 86 corolla and make it fast when i can do a cheap swap and have a good power to weight like a 90 rx7 with a 5.0 in it

  • @te37drift b.c there runn'n sum bitchs

  • @te37drift u mean nigger

  • @te37drift Dont be jealous, thats a bad ride right there.

AND its custom! Theres a difference between putting a chevy 350 in a monte carlo ss, and actually taking the time to fit an american v8, into foreign car, which is a 4 cylinder.

Props to builder, wish I could drive it! lol.

  • @te37drift dude stop hatin y just mad cuz a ls1 corvette motor peforms better than a honda 4 cylinder

  • @isaiah213 Go die in a ditch, but before you do that look up S2000 from hell and S2000 touge, then tell me it performs better. I don't like the swap but I give props for doing something original.

  • @madhamsterpr if i do die in a ditch i still smoke your punk ass in a LS1 powered S2000 in a touge battle

  • @madhamsterpr dude are you serious that S2000 from hell is a joke there are twin turbo powered an N/A powered muscle cars pull way more horsepower than that car and if i do die in a ditch i still smoke your punk ass in a LS1 powered S2000

  • @te37drift omg lmao best comment ever

  • where did u get the kit to do the Ford rear end conversion.

  • @kmodkese No kit I built everything.

  • You should actually change it's name to S5700...

  • @PL3690 I call it my Chevondaford. Part Chevy part Honda and part Ford :)

  • @dragotink Yeah, youre right...this name describes the car much more effectively. With a name ''Honda S5700'' there would be no Chevy and Ford inside :)

  • what kind of gas mileage do you get on this thing??

  • im wondering if you did anything to beef up the differential. I have a friend who destroyed his ap1 differential just on stock power. Then again he is probably a bad driver.

  • @mucura1 Yeah it has a Ford Cobra 8.8 IRS in it now.

  • nice. respect bro.

  • godzilla

  • i got an ls1 in my 240sx and have had it there for 9 years. im glad to see more "import tunerz" realizing how awesome this damn motor is.

  • There is a lot more info on v8s2000's web site

  • As cool as this is, I think I'd rather have the vtech. The s2000 is build to be a 50-50 balanced sports car that is a beast in the twisties. It gives a driver amazing feedback. Putting a v8 in it kinda destroys the purpose... still pretty cool though.

  • Well seeing how it is still 50/50 balanced believe it or not it is. It is fun as hell to drive and both kinds of feedback it gets from driving and from people commenting on it is great.

  • Thats awesome. It takes a great deal of precision to mount a totally different engine in a different part of the bay to keep the balance. I would imagine the V8 would be mounted even further back than the I4. No easy feat since the I4 is so far back to start with. Congrats!!!

  • @HunterPilot24 if people researched before running their mouths, imagine how much less people would talk. LS1's are light as hell.

  • @HunterPilot24 its VTEC not VTECH its valve timing not a phone

  • @fastestludeever My bad. I know that, I was just in a hurry and didn't check. Variable Valve Timing Electric Control.

  • @HunterPilot24 Variable Valve Timing Electronic lifter Control its hydraulic Pin that locks the 2 rockers on both intake and exhaust side together and the larger cam lobe depresses both valves in at the same time..

  • sick but i rather go turbo... kinda weird

  • that can go turbo to.

  • @kyledagg

Well being that it was a salvaged S2000 I think bringing t back to life was far from a waste.

  • Did you take this the so called "NOPI" show in Atlanta in September?

  • @ProspeedCTR

Which one are you refering to? The one at the Atlanta Motor Speedway or the one at Mainstream Performance? I took it to the one at Mainstream it was close to the house.

  • @dragotink Yep it was the Mainstream Performance show. I had the White 07 STi (Stock) parked near the end of the parking lot you were in.

Looking at a video I took from there it was you. Clean job and I love how you kept the stock shifter and console. I've done tons of swaps from D16Z6 to a K24/K20 I built for my EG CX hatch. This LS/S2K has to be my favorite swap by far! I had a AP2 just wish it had the power yours possesses now! Great job.

  • @ProspeedCTR

Post up the video you have I would like to see it and then let me know when and where it is up at.

  • keep up the good work...from a former owner of an ap2 that traded it in for a ls1 gto...i can definetly say that it is getting the best of both worlds...S2KI ftw

  • def would love to drive it , i bet its easy to drift and scary to race lol

  • cool yeah i see the others now , so how much (ballpark) would this cost motor diff gears etc. so i could have one also ?

  • lol what happend to ur paint ??

  • he obviously bought a totaled one to do the swap on as opposed to taking a perfectly good S like the one he already owns and doing all the work to it...its what most people do for project cars like this and its still obviously not near completion

  • handles hmmm, honda s200 is near 50/50 weight ratio,, the ls1 would be more weight, plus the s2000 is a mid engine car so now i assume its not since the ls1 engine takes room in front .. so it would handle worse than a s2000 unless toe camber etc suspension, major money work in testing and setup even if you do it yourself . . i bet the skid pad is way off now .but its nice and very rare , i assume you did differential Dshaft transmition wow this cost a ton(if not just a fake ass sound rec)

  • Ok i know it hurts to see this but dont hate. I have a Daily Driver S2000 that is still stock. As far as the weight goes it is 2821 LBS. no driver, and the front to rear bias is 49.8 front and 50.2 rear. And for the mid engine part the entire LS1 is behind the front shock towers look at the video. I did all the work myself and have less in than you would think. The diff is a Ford 8.8 IRS no ton of cost there. And no it is not fake ther are four of us out here with the swap just do some searching

  • thats awesome dude. thats what im looking to do. what tranny did u use? the automatic is probably easier to install but if u got a manual help a brother out with the details

  • Nice ride man. I am saving up to either do a Mazda miata v8 swap, or an s2k v8 swap. Was it worth it in the end? All the people in my area are into mustangs and I want to show them that Japanese cars can out perform american cars anyday.

  • thats why you have to put an AMNERICAN motor in it to out proform an AMERICAN CAR

  • @truerepublican2525 Nothing wrong with (some) american engines, it's the handling that's the problem....

  • That makes no sense out perform an American car with an American motor.

  • tell that to Carol Shelby and besides it only weighs a little less than the stock S2000 did hum wont handle very well LOL and it really was not to much work IM GOOD

  • seems like a lot of work for that. I can't believe it handles very well.

  • alvarez26..it wasnt slow to start with

  • that's how you really make a honda fast, drop a v8 in it
