Which genius came up with the idea of well known songs lip-synched by well known tv/film personalities? This is idiotic, fake, dishonest and so pointless. What's the point of this?
Director has to take the blame of overacting... Every actor may not know how a singer looks like while navigating through the intricacies of the composition... Very few as Dilip Kulmar in "Sukh Ke Sab Sathi" have done it good... All other great actors have done it between bad and worst.... But in our movies Sab Chalta Hai....

lovely song i remember i was a kid and me n grandad were in the city in pune the hot spot for manache ganpati ani this was playing. it took me 20 years back . i am proud my indian roots are alive and strong inspite of working abroad. jai ganpati bappa nehmi pathishi raha
she is a real good actress, why those overexpressions?? all marathi people know who is the original singer. just listento this song with the eyes shut.
she needs to know what is overacting and what is plain bad acting because she is doing both !! she doesn't need to learn rather she needs to leave this song alone

When one sings devotional songs the attention should be focused on the lyrics and the music and not on the hstrionics of "the singer".
Clearly, Varsha has chosen to make a filmi presentation and the casualities are devotion and the mood.
She is a beautiful woman, no doubt. But by over acting she has sub-optimized the impact.
