Galway has the biggest Irish speaking population actually. It's not a shit hole either. I happen to live here and its fan-bloody-tastic. It's a lot bigger than Donegal. It has some of the best night-life in the country, if not that best, and a festival practically every second week. No need to dis the place. Have you ever even been? Donegal is lovely too though. Why don't we just unite against the greater enemy that is Dublin.

amen, mo chara. i'm learning it myself. and i love it. it is an earthy, tribal, musical, ancient and delightful language. it is one of the things that define us Gaels as a people. even somebody a few generations removed from the Homeland like myself can't help but feel a tremor in my soul when i hear it spoken.
