the styling kinda reminds me of an Acura/honda luxury sedan. A bit understated and the wood combined with the leather doesn't look that great. It would probably if the leather was cream and the wood darker.

Well, in my opinion I find Acura to be at least as good as the Lexus, if not better. The RL packs some incredible technologies and the cabin is quiet as a vault, not to mention it's sporty handling. I find it hard for Hyundai to beat neither brand in 8 years lol...

You have to realise that these commercials are all the work of Hyundai America, which just love to cheapen hyundais image. Check out some of the commercials for hyundai they have in Korea. The ES is a glorified Camry, and you know it. There is no way that a puny ES can hold a candle to a 335i, let a lone a 3281. The C-Class is also loads better. The A4 is built beautifully and is absolutely the segment leader in interior quality.

Look HYUNDAI are growing, But they will never beat LEXUS.
LEXUS has been the top brand for over 15 years now (according to J.D power).
Hyundai are good at copying though.
The GENESIS looks like a BMW 5 series from the side, has hints of Lexus at the rear, and INFINITI and Mercedes Hints at the front.
At least LEXUS ameneded that problem by introducing a new design strategy.
And HYUNDAI simply cannot to INTERIORS.

Unfortunately, you've never sat in one. The Azera has genuine wood trim. And a hell of a lot of it. My parents own one. And the commercial makes a lot of sense. Why would you pay 50k versus about 25k (after you haggle with a dealer) for some massage seats and nav? Use your common sense, or if you have more money than you do that, I guess your shit out of luck.

Note he says the Azera has a luxurious leather trim... then they show the ugly leather trim in the Azera. he then says "The Lexus does too" but they dont show the lexus trim! They don't show the audio becuase the lexus has Navi and the Hyundai doesn't. They Never show details of the lexus. also the Hyundai has it's headlights on, and the lexus doesn't becuase the lexus has Xeon headlights, and the Hyundai doesnt! but the Genesis does ROCK!

There was a day when japanese cars were considered poor and low quality in the US, but the japanese worked hard to improve their cars and today americans see them as good cars. The same thing is happening to the korean automobiles, they are getting better and better and are almost at the same level from the japanese ones.

I'd say Fiat Peugeot Citroen and especially Opel are well build as well, just no marketed as well as Korean counterpart! American big 3 did not spend enough in R&D section till recently when they came to realize that using 1960's chassis in Mustangs and Camaro's is not going to do them any good, because all they'd be selling is Icon..poor quality Icon// they're getting better tho

i know Hyundai makes fine cars, but comparing it with the Lexus LS may not be the right thing to do. In this ad, there were no mentionings of the LS' higher built quality, more powerful engine, faster acceleration, higher top speed, quieter and smoother ride, the more sophisticated and inovated 8speed trans, more luxury and safety features, or the larger interior space. Maybe this car should be compared with something in its own class.

The hyundai azera is for people who can't afford a luxury car, so they buy a hyundai azera to say they have a luxury sedan.Its not a bad thing. Its actually not a bad looking car, but its also not a lexus. The people who can afford a lexus buy one. I know I only bought mine because of a status thing and oh ya it drives nicer,safer, more powerful,more comfortable, more features then a hyundai. Japan, lead by Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Infinity are tops. Next, the Koreans and Ford. Next, the other Americans, Finally, there's the Brits, Germans and other Europeans.

The ES is Lexus' best selling car, not the luxury markets best selling car. The TL is better than the ES because it actually drives better than the Accord it is based on. The ES is a glorified Camry, and you know it. There is no way that a puny ES can hold a candle to a 335i, let a lone a 3281. The C-Class is also loads better. The A4 is built beautifully and is absolutely the segment leader in interior quality.
