  • They should have had Edith wash her hands before making Arch a sandwich. Ugh!

  • sally struthers was HOT back then..damn...

  • The person who disliked this video doesn't engage in Fair Fighting...=)))

  • I always like the ones where Edith stands up to him, she's usually so damn compliant even tho Archie does a lot stupid shit lol. Why was Archie was such a tyrant to Edith sometimes like giving her orders like they were in the military lol.

  • Archie and Edith have a relationship that I wouldn't want to have, but it works for them and it makes the show work so wonderfully. But Mike and Gloria (especially Gloria in this case) make me sick. They created this whole mess by not minding their own business and being so pompus and arrogant. They show total disrespect to their elders even though they're being totally supported by A&E. My Baby Boomer Generation has screwed up in soooooo many ways!

  • That tantrum shows Edith doesn't know how to fair fight.

  • @adamssean6494 It's kind of hard to fair fight given the person she was having a fight with in the first place.

  • Freako family from Philly you gotta fight foul. Try saying that three times fast. Just goes to show you Archie's good with tongue twisters.

  • This is one of the classic episodes. The writing and acting are off the charts.

  • The look on Archie's face was like "Uh OK."

  • "When yer fightin' a freeko' family from Filly you gotta fight fowl" ... :)

  • Archie is overly authoritative!

  • Aww I always wanna give Edith a hug when she starts doing that silly little cry.

  • @heyheypachuco Agreed. Edith is too sweet and adorable.

  • Darn meddling kids.

  • @AgApE010 I agree. Kids should never meddle in parents lives.

  • @adamssean6494 What if a father is beating the mother to a bloody pulp and the mother allows it to happen again and again? I suppose that would be considered meddling if the children would want that to stop, right?

  • edith is so sweet

  • @freedo333 oh she is such a sweet mom

  • archie will never change

  • OH HO HO HO HO I'LL GOD I'LL

    LMAO

  • He manipulated her right into remaining his slave, and doormat. HILARIOUS how oblivious she was to how he treated her.

  • See, their budding in made Edith more unhappy. Nosy busy boddies. LOL Hilarious show, nonetheless.

  • EDITH IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this show, but that was the stupidest ending I have ever seen.

  • What the hell is wrong with Gloria, almost as if she wants her parents to fight?

  • @lakerfan198126 she just wants her mom to stand up for herself.

  • "You're gonna do what I tell you to do OR ELSE!"

    "Or else what?"

    "Or else ohOohOhoHOHohOHOh!"

    LMFAO!!!!!!

  • all in the family......

  • Oh geez its a good thing those 2 found each other they are one of the quirkiest tv couples ever! ;)

  • I wish Edith were my mother :)

  • did archie really just say he was wrong wow! <3 I love edith bunker

  • "When a dog is throwing up, he wants to know his own doctor is in town."

  • I love Edith so much!

  • "I aaaalways respect your feelings. Now sit the hell down!"

LOL! Sitcoms of the 2000's WISH they can be as funny as this.

  • Sitcoms of "the 2000's" aren't funny no.. It's always about a superior mom and a loser husband... ha-ha-ha? It's just unnatural but somewhere there's an audience how loves this... I fking hate the modern sitcoms with a passion..

All in the family was REAL comedy.. Natural comedy..

  • @willemdawillem --but in the 70s I remember people saying Jackie Gleason was better comedy than this. It all depends on the age you're living in.

  • @willemdawillem

the sitcoms of today are also about good looks and sex. Not a whole lot of talent, they are so superficial. back then actors had a lot of talent, anyways all in the family is a classic among other 70's sitcoms

  • @shewstring2000 The 70's didn't have sitcoms. That phrase wasn't coined until the late 80's, early 90's.

  • @TKGB2006 ya this is classic tv

  • marriage is equal. lol @ edith. i love it! i wish this show ran forever!

  • Awesome....a critical analysis on the bunkers...go youtubers,go.

  • This was great. TV sucks nowadays

  • you gotta deal...you gotta deal...you got a deal!!

  • Either that or the dude's packing a salami. Go, Archie!

  • This is what makes Archie a good guy at his heart. When she Edith said, "what are you gonna do?"...All he could say, "I'm going to Kelsey's"...He knew what was wrong at heart.

  • Hmm...people are writing that Archie wears the pants because she made him a sandwich.....But he woke up and essentially came grovelling to her as discretely as he could and apologized.

  • I love how Edith jumps up and down and has a hissy over sleeping on the couch xD

  • archie gets her to sleep on the couch, then wakes her up and gets her to make him a sandwich with a smile on her face. damn. there's a lesson in that, boys and girls.

  • 4:45 Archie is using Jedi mind powers. LOL

  • These are not the droids you're looking for.

  • He can go about his business...move along.

  • What's the lesson?

  • the lesson, boys and girls, is archie wears the pants after all.

  • hahahaha, don't fall behind, mistermattmoose. On first glance, Archie is the pant-wearer - but underneath a few cleverly-veiled layers you'll find the real pant wearer...Edith. She loves her husband, that's why she obeys him, but when he pushes her too far she's a tyrant. And in the midst of these arguments, it's always Archie who crawls back to her. Jokes roll incessantly, but when things turn to a moment of seriousness, Archie knows his place...her equal, through and through.

  • @Viopule it's like they said in My Big Fat Greek Wedding!... the man is the head of the house... but the woman is the neck, and she can turn the head in any direction she wants haha

  • "You got a right to see your relations no matter what they look like."

  • It's not exactly a fair fight when Archie's by himself and Edith has two people in her corner.

  • Ralph's office is in Philadelphia, next to Veterinarian's Stadium.

  • "...no I do not, and for the last time this house is off limits to cousin fatso and her husband dogface!" LOL

  • "Red-headed hippo and her flea-bitten husband." funny
