Sounds excellent...for someone who has not sung for nine years, DLR has not lost a beat. This is the original and always my favorite Van Halen. The Roth years had the most rocking songs. Nice to see these guys back together.

Buying this album first thing Tuesday morning off Amazon. I wasn't a big fan of this song then the more I listened to it, the more I appreciate it. Very catchy after a few listens, love it. Wish I had the extra cash to see them live at MSG.

@detroitli0n i wouldnt say the newest AC/DC CD "sucks" per se, but it's definitely a LOT more filler than usual -_- then again, Brian lost his voice after Flick of the Switch, so it wasn't really the same since. This doesnt suck either, it's just different. It's still better than VHIII (not that it's hard to do but still).

You are absolutely right, that has been VH's formula for success forever, and it has worked for them. I am a guitar player myself and when I learned how to play the opening riff from Aint Talkin Bout Love it was a huge deal for me at the time. It is still, imo, one of the all time great guitar riffs. They set a high standard for themselves and I dont think this meets that standard is all.

I would have hoped to see some kind of evolution however, meaning growth. I like music that has a message, good or bad. Just one catchy hook and Eddie shredding, cuz thats what Eddie does.

I listened to Tattoo a bunch of times now and I like it more and more: "Mousewife to momshell", come on those are cool lyrics. The thing about VH is that the music makes me feel good. Like I said before: no angry vocals, no deep stories, just fun music. Everyone feels there own way, but I for one, am really glad that we have some new VH. My 45s are kinda worn.

Sorry dude, I couldn't disagree more. This sound is timeless...hard guitar and bass. No angry singing like Five Finger Death Punch or Korn or CR*P like Lady Gaga. Roth's antics bugged me from the beginning, buts it's still a great sound. Many VH songs took a few listens to appreciate, just like this one. Who do you feel has something relevant to say in music?
