  • I love this guy. A hulking behemoth, yet he's polite and courteous. I can totally see him being friendly with Bridget. :D

  • potemkin and tager = REAL SOVIET DAMAGE!!

  • the guy can barely kick his feet up.....hahahaha who gives a fuck when you got FISTS OF FUCK STEEL COMIN AT YA

  • Potemkin, Zangief, Tager, the Heavy from TF2 that russian guy from G Gundam...

ever wonder why Russians only bring in the big guys?

  • @Urumaka I think it's the Russian stereotype to have a big strong fighter. Except half the time the Russians are portrayed as dumb muscle (like Zangief and Heavy) but Potemkin and Tager are both superintelligent.

  • @BeautifuButPsychotic, actually Heavy has a PHD, as revealed in poker night at the inventory, and is simply sterotyped as stupid because of his accent.

  • @TAOD12 Thanks for that. I really had no idea he was smart. In the gameplay he talks in broken English and seems to be just big and dumb. At least I was right on Zangief though, he's dumber than a brick.

  • @BeautifuButPsychotic haha no problem man, and actually, in Pocket fighters, Zangief is pretty intelligent, as it turns out he has his out suit and glasses, he looks like a sophesticated russian tank...

  • @TAOD12 I think that's only for one particular game. In the main canon he often appears quite stupid. However, Zangief is patriotic and a nice guy. I'll still say my fav Russian in fighting games has to be Potemkin though.

  • @Urumaka Is Tager really Russian?

  • @BackwardsMan I have no idea really I just assumed he was lol

  • @BackwardsMan He's from Ikaruga, like Bang.

  • Ma-Ti took a looooooot of steroids.

  • tager

  • if this was captain planet.... Potemkin would be.. HEART!!

  • I always wanted to hear Potemkin's theme remixed in a Russian march style like that of the Red Alert games.

  • TANK!

  • Chipp and Potemkin, epicness.

  • I like this one but the lyrics make no sense whatsover.

  • why he is habe thath final vs the robo-ky´s, he die?

  • Bitches dont know about my gigantic tager

  • niiice

  • potemkin has a epic rival.... Tager...

  • despite his size and muscles, i read he is gentle. o.o

  • @jinjoscar yup, he is. xD He only wants peace and protects anything or anyone he cares about at any cost.

  • Potemkin even makes Chuck Norris scream in terror.

  • your completely lifted right of the ground........ and then slamed through the floor

  • @spider76316

    LOLCAPSLOCK.

  • who sings this

  • Sca-doosh! Soviet Bros ftw. Tager and Potemkin are sooo badass! I luv this song, and I play it when I'm kick'n ass!

  • 3:30 a fangirl's dream, a fanboy's nightmare, along with potemkins

  • melodeathcore vocalist ;/ any finnish growl would do better

  • But Potemkin likes to draw a lot-

    and he even has special,

    unbrekeable pencils :D

  • True. These vocal editions, especially LA ones, totally butcher the awesome songs.

  • its honestly is. I don't care if people give me a thumbs down. Most of the songs w/ vocals are really bad, some worse than others. I think they should've gotten female vocalists for the girl songs, this guy...isn't really good...

  • Yeah, the guy who sings these is pretty bad.

But I dunno, I kinda like it the way it is.

  • "my fist is clenched.... for justice!"

  • i like the vocal version's it's that they killed dizzy's, baiken's, anji mito's theme. the original's were better.

  • omg dizzy's fit her's PERFECTLY... at least i would believe

  • Comment removed

  • I thought Anji's theme was good. D:

  • I like how this song really hits home that Potemkin is a good lane control character with strong anti-airs. He has some crazy air juggles hence "it's up to them to touch back down". Approaching him also tends to get you punched or shot with one of his interrupting pews, hence, "the right of way is the game we play".

  • yah but he's as slow as a building... i don't have much trouble beating him...

  • If you just play against the AI, I can understand that statement, but try to play against a good Pot player online, and the hurt WILL be brought upon you.

  • a damn shame my PC can't handle an emulator... i have my PS2 copy that i play.

and i still find it unlikely...

  • @VoltSlash

Couldn't the same be said about any other character as long as someone's good with them? XD

  • Oh, you know... Pot rules over all XD

  • That may be true, but I bring the hurt on GG with him bad. I've completed arcade mode with him normal, no EX or black or gold. the only other character I've done that with is Eddie.

  • i regularly complete arcade hard mode with venom and robo-ky... i would love to face you though, see if anyone can beat me using something as big as a truck and slow as a mountain.

  • How many Potemkins' does it take to screw in a lightbulb? No clue. The real question is, how did he even get in the room?

  • Could Potemkin even touch a lightbulb without breaking it?

  • No, that's not the real question. The real question is how can he even HOLD the lightbulb without it shattering?

  • 3:06

    YO-YOS CONFUSE POTEMKIN

  • So what was with the last pic? Was Potemkin's shirt just too tight?

  • He accidentally tor his shirt at the cuff. You know how hard it can be to secure the cuffs with those tiny buttons?

Well, for Potemkin, it's damn near impossible.

  • Holy crap, this song is hardcore! O_O

  • I've always loved the bass to this song

  • im not a big potemkin fan but song is pretty good

  • If I remember correctly, he wears that collar as symbolism of his slave days, but also because it serves as some sort of limiter to his own power. If he took it off, every move he takes would be like his instant kill, too much power to be controlled meaning mass destruction.

  • @DarkEternal999

Thanks man, i really wondered why he still wore it. i actually thought he was still a slave somehow, but after what you said, it all makes sense, hes not a slave anymore, and hes limiting his own power GREATLY

  • @hidan407

    The gloves are limiters, too.

  • @yichl

wtf...........damn without his collar and gloves, hes the 3rd strongest person in the game

  • @DarkEternal999 i though the gloves were the limiters

  • I always Imagine Potemkin destroying Cities with his fists when I hear this song... >_>'

  • @TestaXDizzy hahahhahaha

  • Potemkim...he's very cool. I read that some game companies said that he makes Zangief look like a whimp.

  • Yea man , Zangief is given way too much credit for being the best big guy , he isn't the best . Potemkin might not be either but hes cooler. Thats what matters. Just look at him man . Beserk dudes are always welcome when the times comes to choose a main. Aynone care to give me a semi indepth background about potemkin?

  • Slave that was sent from the floating country Zepp the only place that doesnt use magic, to kill justice. He was freed and now works for the gouvernment, eventually getting dispatched again on the incident with dizzy and bein dragged into a conspiract about the robo kys, he then leaves to become Chipp's political Aid when chipp runs for president in Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus, theres more on his wiki page if you wanna know more

  • Cool man , thanks for the info man . Big man big respect am I right? haha.

  • @Sliverfox1001 Of course, HE'S THE POTEMKIN, BITCH!!!

  • Oddly, all three of thoes things don't sound so stupid. Lol

  • Its really hard to belive that Potemkin is a good guy. You would usualy find the bad guys looking like this.

  • He is a mutant, Right???

  • I'm pretty sure that he was given mass amounts of steroids by the Zepp government. Of course I don't know for a fact.

  • Huhh...

so, he is a kind of steroids adict???

  • Not by choice. I think the government forced it upon him and then restricted him with his Gauntlets and Neck-guard thing. Then, something happened, the government was overthrown, and he was permitted to remove those two objects, but refused since he feared his own raw power. I think...

  • Ohh

Right... I seen his loyalty to zepp

    thanks buddy

  • Very nice job canopr1ngles, you are damn close to what happend. the only thing that you were alil off about was the steroids he took were infused with radiation to allow his body to get that big and as for the government he overthrew it as revenge for making him what he is. But i do have to applaud you, not many people know even half as much as you on the GG story line.

  • As far as I know, he's not. He's just like that by normal. But this is guilty gear, a world wear a 12-14 year old pirate girl can lift an anchor with one hand, a 26 looking main character is actually over 100 yrs old, and there is a 9ft tall free roaming doctor.

  • just for the record May is 16 =3

  • Ive heard that before from someone. Where did you find that out?

  • Actually May really is round 12-14. She was ORIGANALLY going to be 16.

I could always be wrong though. So if possible could you tell me where you got the info? Im like 90% certain of myself though.

  • Solidoldsnake: If that's the case, do you know how old Bridget is?

  • Not really. Id say 14-17 maybe.

But what I want to know is exactly how old that man, slayer, and sol badguy are. I know Sol's over 150, but I wonder how exactly old he is.

  • Bridget looks 12 to me, man. 17-year-old boys in Japanese games and anime tend to still have deeper voices than Bridget's, no matter how feminine they look.

  • That's because Bridget is a "shota" character, I think.

  • He's pretty much normal in my book man . Haha big respect for a big man.

  • is it just me or does anyone else also gets the " oh im holding a big gun " feeling when playing with potemkin (",)

  • Nah I get the ' BFG 9000 BITCH!' feeling when I play as him xD

  • I get the "UBER 9500 BASTERD" Feeling

  • I get the feeling the "POTEMKIN FUCKING BUSTER" feeling.

  • potemkin looks class in uniform

  • Very good song, very good lyrics, but for the fact that the vocalist is totally wrong for it. One of the better vocal tracks.

  • damn he was one hard opponent when i first played the series using sol.

  • Looks like he bent that glowy heart himself.

  • this song is awesome

  • yeah this song was ruined by jay gordon =.=

  • potemkin was fuckin hard to use but god damn he hit hard as hell. the song ruled

  • If you know how to master him correctly you can pretty much beat anyone's ass in Guilty Gear!

  • True, Potemkin can rule anyone's ass in a quick second, or you can be cheap and still kill the enemy!

  • yes... yes he did... i love the big guy.

  • AC Potemkin is pretty easy to use... well to me.

  • 2:00 - A stone memorial? did Potemkin die or is this something else? O.o

  • yes...in one ending he does.

  • Poor guy. What (or perhaps the real question is who) happened to him?

  • we love potemkins theme

  • the singer is jay gordon he did a collab with linkin park... reanimation...for the name of the song ...ah thats right pts. of athrty... he also did some songs on the queen of the damed... he is good at slow mystery music not metal...

  • Oh, that's him. That voice does sound familiar. But, it doesn't match the song. It kind of ruins it.

  • They need some one ...idunno...Bigger

  • jay gordan from orgy
