Leigh's parents were from Sweden. They moved SLC, Utah in 1891. Leigh is their youngest child, and the brother of my great-grandfather, Oscar Harline. Oscar's son Alden is my mom's dad. Leigh has 2 daughters living in California. They are grandmothers by now. A few years ago I met Gretchen and Karen once when they came to SLC in to hear and see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square play their dad's most famous song.

I love Billy Joel! I am so thrilled to hear him singing a song that the uncle of my maternal grandfather wrote. My mom (a Harline) remembers when uncle Leigh came to one of the Harline family reunions. He played the piano to entertain everybody. I have heard and seen the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing this song. they did a fabulous job.

My daughter was given the Simply Mad About the Mouse video & audio tape (yes, cassette!) when she was about 4 yrs old . She watched and listened to them both so much....I was actually sick of them. She's 21 now, almost 22, living on her own and hearing this makes me miss those days at home with her. Cherish your childrens' Disney years!
