@GihrenZabiII I second that cause the standard zaku ll with some updates in construction materials, generator output , weapons and thrusters the zaku ll could be a contender again without changing the outword apearance almost at all.

Up the generator output to 1950kw

19 Vernier Thrusters

Install vulcans in the head.

@sidjtd both salamis and magellan classes have 3 bridges, the main one on top and 2 sub bridges at the sides. each subbridge is able to command the ship should the main bridge be destroyed.

Dramatic effect is one thing but this is just way too much XD Salamis and magellan classes aren't made out of cardboard filled with explosives XP

In the original series, they specifically mention reactor kills destroying ships instantly. Char and his men are simply crazy well trained, and the Federation hasn't developed anti-mobile suit tactics yet, such as staying further apart.

@CarolusMagnus2501 sure, but you don't hit the reactor by shooting at the bridge. I also doubt a Zaku machinegun would be able to pierce the armor and cause the reactor to go critical.

This entire scene is a bit too much imo, this is early 0079, not 0083 or 0086

@kakarot197 Well I can endorse the Magellan being taken out, explosion feeding back to reactor from the turrets magazine, or that going off itself. I still can't figure a way for the salamis to be taken out, best explanation to me would be. On his pass around, some of the shots hit possible air tanks mounted in the bridge area, that combined with the explosions from the gunfire, that causes large quickly burning fire, searching for fuel that made its way down the bridge to the hull. then, boom.

@Andrzejwysocki Well if you think about the bridge is the nerve system and if you noticed the explosions always come from the middle area thats prolly where the fuel is and in the bridge there are alot of electronics that should be connected which most likely sparked the fuel and made the ship explode... that ofcourse is only a theory

the gundam was essential for the federation to mass produce mobile suits, but it played a very small role in their major offensives. dont forget who won the war. and they won because of the numbers and superior capabilities of their mass-produced ms and because the zeons exhausted their resources and became too complacent with their hold over the earth

im a fan of zeon too, but dont forget who beat who

@SpecialAgentRavage id say the main reason zeon lost was they had too many mobile suit designs in production to get enough produced which caused delays. They should have focused on one or 2 instead of 3-4 designs plus sub varriants.

well there may be something to that but the feds certainly produced a large variety of ms variations themselves and considering the shorter time period that they had mobile suits proportionatly they made the greater effort

it all comes down to resources: the feds had a planets worth of minerals to make metals with and the zeons had a collection of space rocks. and as i said the zeons got lazy. when they started freaking out over the gundam they focused on ms quantity over quality
