Actually, Youtube in the US invited Katers17 who is british though english speaking. For me the great upside to this side is the amazing new international connections being made through video based dialogue. If you listen to the whole speech, which I linked in the video I actually made this same point and said. "I think its strange having all these gaijin up here. Japanese people make your own videos and show yourself to the world." But this is still a work in progress in Japan.

Speaking of cameras, I'm getting a Memorex HD camcorder from RadioShack on Black Friday for $79 and an 8GB SDHC card to go with it for $20. It looks a lot like a Xacti. I hope the image quality is decent. I'll put it to good use and start making some real videos. What codec to you prefer? Personally, I like the h.264. This camera does AVI though, so I'll have to convert. You're just using iMovie '08 now, aren't you?

Does he have a Memorex? I tried to get more info, but there the only two Memorex camcorders I could find were this one and an "iCarly" kiddie camcorder, which had terrible reviews. I'm just going to have to try it, I think. If it's no good, I can return it. It can't be that bad, right? I mean, at 720p HD, it should look great on YouTube after it's been sized down, just like any camera with a large number of megapixels will make great shots when they're sized down.
