You could hear the bias in the city managers voice siding with the people who oppose the law, not those law abiding citizens who choose to carry openly who are being unlawfully harassed by the police. Just because you don't like what the law is doesn't mean you can choose to allow your officers to do unreasonable searches and seizures. . If you don't like the law, write your representative and get it changed, don't harass citizens for following it. .

Yeah, too bad it's not the 1880's anymore. I dare anyone to check the crime stats of any old western city. They all had lower crime rates than Chicago, DC, Los Angelos or St. Luis today. Unfortunately, we're in 2011 wherein most major cities (that used to be great and prosperous) are now run by far left progressive politicians.

It's an America wide ploy from cops and the city to harrass you out of wanting to carry.Basically they're saying if you open carry you should expect to be stopped.That could mean several times a day if they so choose.I want to see what they are going to do when 80% is openlyn carrying,I'm sure they'll change their tune.

The right to bear arms shall not be infringed. The right to bear arms means open carry. I conceal carry because my State does not allow open carry - they are violating the 2nd Amendment. No one should be harassed if they are not breaking a law. Police need to learn the law and start spending more time on preventing crime.

Well, I even get harrased by the Rangers for open carry when I am out target shooting at a BLM area. Where the Bureau of Landmanagement is for Recreational use for Hunting, Target shooting. Damit!!!!

You can OC in Utah with a round in the chamber if you have a CCW licence. I carry a copy of the statute in my wallet because some cops don't know that.
