  • love you playing

  • Many Luthiers use baby oil it is menaral oil with a fragrance. also don't over oil a fingerboard or you will losen the frets.

  • Jerry with JDS-Guitars here. I have replced peg-head overlay but as you say it can get very costly. Great tips.

  • Great video. I learned alot. Thank you.

  • okey so i have pretty much the same problem with my bc rich virgo (maple neck) and i did pretty much the same thing this video instructed me to do, but instead of using construction glue, i used epoxy. will it still work?

  • MAN , U R AWESOME!

  • My epiphone g-400 fell off the stand and the headstock snapped but was still intact and i got it repaired for 200$ and a few weeks later the headstock just broke off. Total bummer :(

  • drink a beer, work with my hands, eat a hungry man, and go home to fuck my wife. arrr arr ARR

  • good job, nice and cheep.i am doing my sg copie.thanks a lot..on how to do.

  • if you ask me good old guitars that were broken and repaired sound kinda special, not new but not like shit either.

  • Amaaazing! Thanks for posting!

  • Ok people I need your help. My epiphone Les Paul standard plus top ($ 500) was recently snapped at the headstock EXACTLY like this. I went through a local shop who found a company to make this repair. It was reglued sanded painted the whole works. And he replaced my toggle switch. he's charging 400. What are your thoughts. My mouth fell open

  • @kyledadams My thought on what's the guitar worth to you.

My guitar Betty has been with me for 22 years and was $500 in 1989, and I would gladly pay $500 to have another 22 years with her. If it was my Resonator, which I paid a $1000 for, I'd buy a new one.

What's your guitar worth to you.

  • On Thursday I picked up a brand new Les Paul Studio 60's Tribute. On Friday it was knocked off it's stand and snapped off the headstock. Today I brought it to the shop for repair. The minimum charge is $150 to reglue the headstock and do a "minimum touch-up". For an additional 2 hours labor, they're going to strip and refinish the repair. Total cost of the repair: $300 + tax. Add a setup for $85 + tax and I'm north of $400.

  • @theChime wow....that did cost a lot on you....

  • @kyledadams Sell it on Ebay and get another guitar. An Epiphone and even the guitar this guy repaired on the video isn't worth the aggravation. If the instrument has sentimental value? I would fix it But.. To me its either do it right or don't do it at all. A guitar for a customer would never leave my shop unless the repair is invisible.. I have done many Gibson and high end repairs flawlessly.

  • I've always used mineral oil on the fretboards on my guitars and it works great. It's very inexpensive and can be found in almost every pharmacy or pharmeceutical section of most grocery stores... it's apparently a laxative... go figure.

  • @ 5:05 dude I have used furnicher polish on my guitar neck and it works fine :) I use mr shine polish google it if you don't know the type :) but yeah my point is it seemed to work just fine, maybe just about the only problem is that if you use to much you get a verry slidey neck, However I fine this helps me play.

  • I accidentally wrote a question on your creative guitar studios website. Will you still answer it?

  • Can I ask, is it necessary to remove the tuning pegs? Would it be ok to keep the screw in? How about leaving in 2 screws? Thanks

  • hey great vid! i was wondering if you could do a video on pots; push/pull in particular. i think a lot of people would benefit from it as its a fairly easy mod but not too many people know much about it, myself included.

  • 11´s?? arent they so heavy?

  • @Erotomaniacpp Try 13s lol, 11s aren't heavy

  • @Erotomaniacpp i use 11's and there not heavy at all but i bit more bite to them than 10's really good for blues and rock

  • @Erotomaniacpp I use 13s.

  • do you have any videos on changing out tuning heads/machines?

  • great new use for our product! thanks for the review!

  • Are those Joe Barden pickups?

  • Superb job on both these videos, and nice clean repair. Here's one for you, and I'll search back through your videos to see if you've already covered it, but what methods do you recommend as far as properly seating a neck, either bolt on or not, to ensure correct alignment with the bridge? One method that a fellow guitar amateur suggested was to loosely string the 1st and 6th strings, and use that as a guide. Currently working on a few guitar builds, including a headstock repair for a banjo. ;)

  • nice video, great job!
