Stay in Iowa, keep your big house in North Carolina. Hell, move to Seattle.
I don't hate, but SF's local families are priced out. No real locals, no real city.
Maybe if they built more homes, it would become cheaper when the market is flooded with residential units. But there are too many NIMBY's that don't want to ruin the views.
That's quite a nice view you have there. I live in Lower Pacific Heights which is fairly close by. Must get a little noisy at times with all the traffic.
