Yeah, it'd be easy if they opened that portal all the time, but they don't! And they're hard to deal with when they're in a swarm and charging at you off-camera. You can't see them coming & it's difficult to stop what you're doing while you're busy with 1 or 2 of 'em...with Dante it's even worse since you can't grab them in the air & RG goes right out the window when you're in the middle of whacking them & the others are charging at you.

If they dont do the beam attack within 30-60 seconds just reload and start again. When I used to play this game I rarely attempted to attack them I prefered to just avoid them which is relatively easy. They seem to do it faster if they arent damaging you

and let me guess the blitz is no1 :P? the alto angelos are pretty easy to me theyre actually fun since you can grab and wrestle with them :P they arent hard at al whenever they charge grab em so you move behind em slash down give em a lift of beat the hsit outta them ..ding ding ding your done ..so easy ;)

u will get proud soul by just killing 1 monster. if u didnt kill anyone then u wouldnt get any.

I found this with Dante before looking it up here.

when they did that great ball, I thought it'd do just like agnus' "time to die" attack, so I hurried a striked EXACTLY when they throwed the ball, and got instant SSS.

I had to do it a lot to find out it was by deflecting the ball though, and I thought they were just easy to kill in that state

Yes, the items left behind are Red Orbs. But Barrattsmini isn't going for the Orbs, he's going for the Proud Souls accumulated by getting stylish points. Remember, you don't see the Proud Souls added to your collection until you end the mission.

Charge shot, lock on to any one of them, charge the shot, and then fire as soon as they shoot that dark matter ball thing at you.

I did that by play both heroes, success a few times. For me, instead of shot the black orb, I first "accidently" then "have intention to" strike the orb back to them by swinging sword even so close to them, and of course must be in perfect timing.

One thing (or two things i found rather), if you can do this on DMD mode, you clear nearly 1000 proud souls per attempt. I figured that since you get more red orbs in HoH mode that the same would apply here, but unfortunately not :( - still, these runs take around a minute each, and are excellent for getting these last damn abilities for the achievments!

I was fighting these guys inside the room where you get the chronos key. I grabbed a blanco in mid air and the other blanco and alto fired that ball at me while I was thrusting the spear into the other blanco. I still bustered it and killed all three with SSS. Best fight ever, I laughed my ass off.

Just a quick reminder for people. Once you get the SSS pause and go to system I think and quit the mission to receive all the orbs. Then just restart.

Actually, you get about 500 proud souls just for getting that SSS. You can tell because if you end the mission right after you do it you get like 600 something proud souls, but you also have to take into account the moves you already used before it.

I would advise just doing 3 minute runs, if they dont do the attack just quit and restart you will still get a few proud souls for it!

Remember when you get inside and go up the stairs the first time? Then you fight he gold 1 and 2 silver ones? They were chargin up an energy ball, I jumped into it and DT and it blew up, I got SSS, and around 600 red orbs. It was funny.
