This is one of those moments in life one treasures forever: Taking off on board a mighty legend, seated on the co-pilot seat, flying over a wonderful landscape in a beautiful day, and with a beautiful girl smiling sweetly at you...wow!! God bless you mate!!
Aww thats the life man.. theres no word I have for the pilot.. I'm not jealous.. not envious.. not inspired... but... Aspired? I dont know. There is no word for it. I'm just loving it.
That is a familiar sound and I have been in there on several occasions with a Grumman Goose. Up and down the Baja Peninsula on two different trips. Had a good copilot too. Thanks Bernardo and Ed. Fred Ball
Which Las Cruces in Mexico you mean. I've looked for at Google Earth and found several places with the same name... Is there any ICAO locator for that strip?
He's a little bit jerky with the Goose. They fly like they are train tracks. Dunno if that's just part of him "Bombing around" or what. Anyways...Still a nice vid... What's N# Btw?
This must have been a long time ago. N322 crashed in 1986 and has been out of service since. I flew in N322 in 1978. aleutianflyboy your right. There is nothing like the sound of those old radials throttling up.

There's no better sound than a couple of Pratt 985's with howling prop's taking off and then being sinked together with the throttle's.
