@IVgrandtheftauto Sometimes you can encounter a "playful" seal that gets a bit carried away and will nip you - for a proper bite you'd have to ignore some basic rules eg corner a seal in a gulley or hang around when a young bull seal is getting territorial. You ask ... is diving a safe sport?- YES IF DONE properly and with caution, training, care and planning

Yeah. Definitely not hugging you. I wouldn't get that close to a wild animal, especially a seal which can be unpredictable, especially not in water where I have to depend on scuba equipment to breathe. What if it pulled your mask and breathing tube off?

It's a BEAUTIFUL thing to see, but always remember that these ARE

creatures in the wild. They can be very unpredictable. This behavior

from this particular seal should NOT be deemed 'normal behavior'.

Still, I'm sure all of us wish we were there chill-axing w/a seal = ]
