The younger dogs bit and mauled the fallen champion and tore his body to shreds. The punishment wasnt as severe for other dogs that lost only the ones that gave up were given this much punishment. Other losers were only deprived of food or put on a treadmill for several hours. One was tossed in a pool and forced to swim all night. Its an interesting proffession and sport.

It was a bit excessive but he lost about 15 thousand on the dog. He then took a car battery and attached jumper cables to the dog and shocked him many time. He reasured me that e had to make an example for the other dogs never to quit in a fight. After lots of more punishment mostapha tossed the beaten dog into a pen with about 5 up and coming dogs.

I met a champion dog fighter while I was in Kabul working several years ago, He own a stable of dogs and made lots of money selling breeding and betting on his dogs. At one particular derby however Mostapha's most prized dog refused to fight after 20 miinutes of combat. The dog was bloody and bruised but basically gave up. So to make an example of him to the other dogs he strung the dog up from a tree. He then beat the dog with a car antenna as the dog yelped in pain.................
