Question on this.... was it stated in the craigslist ad that it had a blown head gasket and used for stunt riding? because im going to buy off of creigslist in a couple months and dont really feel like getting an expensive surprise... gear alone will run 1500... i dont need another 1k for repairs not stated....
The only symptom my bike has is the really high temp.. Besides that no other signs of a blown gasket.. Any suggestions on what could be cousing the overheating ?
@wichovr6 Make sure your radiator is clean, after many miles dust and road debris hit radiator cells and may damage them, so look closely to that too, also make sure that coolant liquid does circuit throuht the engine, water pump might be damage, also check all hoses and conections, engine coolant system runs on a pressurize conditions, everything must be tight throughly. Hope this can help a bit through some guidelines/troubleshooting. Safe riding !!!!

there are many to look out for:-
- loss of power
- oil on the bottom of the radiator cap
- milky oil in the sight glass
- discolored coolant
- slight oil leak under the cylinder head
- erratic temps at high rpm or very high temps 250 +
