there's no semblance of balance between brass and string. so many people are out of tune that any one of them might be correct. what's up with the brass echoing the strings at 1:25?

seriously, i'm no theory buff but the arrangement isn't even harmonically correct. 1:47 and 2:02 can't be right.

the only thing i can give them credit for is that the conductor/arranger seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself.

Embarrassing. I sincerely hope that this is a youth/student orchestra. To what do you guys tune to– a chainsaw? Winds and strings are off by almost a semitone ex. 3:07. Brass is very clumsy/loose, bloated, and overwhelming the strings. Strings aren't even together. Chord progression @1:47 and 2:03 are awkward–you aren't even modulating. Overall character of the music is lost. Dear Mr. Law, don't ruin any more of Hisaishi's pieces, please.

i find that this song is not performed to its fullest, like how should i say it doesn't have a flow like how an orchestra has, furthermore, i find certain parts are quite off.

they always arrange it differently for orchestra so yea, it's not you lol. i noticed it too with how's moving castle and princess mononoke. they have the original soundtracks on itunes and the instrumentation and everything's all weird.
